Whether you think she should be held morally responsible for this tragedy or any true politically-motivated violence, or whether you think she has reprehensibly and unjustly been accused and viciously slandered . . . do you think Tucson and the surrounding furor will change Palin's style, language, etc. at all?

I suspect we will see the same gun-toting, conservative key-word spouting Palin in the future. However, I suspect we may not hear the phrase "don't retreat, reload" ever again from her, and I doubt she will be publishing any maps featuring crosshairs in the future. What do you think?

I hope she doesn't change, and I hope conservatives follow her lead. Babysitting pant****ters emotions has F'd this country up and it's time to just call out all whining liberal puke BS for what it is. Thank you Sarah!

Enough with the Sarah Palin threads...

Please for the love of god, make it stop, make it end.

You know there's a potion that if you drink it, it makes you forget about all the partisan morons out there.

It's called BLEACH.

Why stop at Palin? I find it strange that only one person is being singled out here.

There are many on the left and the right who have used much more rhetoric than Palin, why do you people keep trying to link her to this tragedy?

It's rather poor taste and classless in my opinion.

Let us hope so.

It hasn't changed anyone else's style...why should it change hers?

Yes please! I'm sick and tired of hearing about Palin. She's not important, can we please stop talking about her.

Did you bother to read the post before going on this rant? I am not linking her to anything, simply asking whether you think the response will change her at all. Not even asking whether you think she should change or not.

Why even bring her up at all in relation to this shooting. You are not being clever here. at all.

I brought it up because I think it will be interesting to see whether this mess changes one of the most famous political personas in this country.

What I find troubling is that this administation is going to use Tuscan to go forward to pass legislation against free speech, and more gun regulations.
Sarah Palin, crosshairs, conservative talk, had nothing to do with this tragedy, but they are trained to never let a crisis go to waste.

Why did you make this thread all about Palin, then?

Probably not.

Yeah, they're going to go nuts with this.

You brought it up, in yet another attempt to link Palin to the Tuscon shootout.

Why did you make this thread all about Palin, then?
Because she is the most famous aside from Limbaugh, who I believe has already signaled how he intends to act.

Anyway, I'm not going to defend this anymore. If you don't like the question, don't discuss it. If for whatever reason you think I am trying to tie anyone to anything, this event has made you paranoid. But you can "call me out" or whatever and also move on.

I don't see why she would change, or any need for her to change. In fact, she'd look even worse in my eyes than she does now if she does change. Also, I do not see how she could be held morally responsible for the shooting.

Sure, right after those bitches on the view change theirs.

You sir, are not being clever.

Yeah, they're going to go nuts with this.

Is anyone hopeful the new congress will put a stop to anything?
I was, but then I see that it is Pete King (R) working on more gun regulations.:(

Thank you for responding to the actual substance of my question. :)

I think this event might ultimately increase her popularity. Maybe not with liberals, but I think she's handled herself very well.

I wonder if Obama won't say "If they bring a knife, we'll bring a gun" again. I mean come on. Loughner was an independent nazi sympathizer druggie whacko. Didn't you hear Obama when he said we shouldn't use this to accuse each other or attack each other? Palin didn't cause this or even influence this. If Palin was the congresswoman from Arizona, she'd be the one in the hospital right now. Or dead, like the Republican appointed judge who was killed. Take your partisanship and accusations elsewhere.

I hope it doesn't change the way anyone conducts themselves, because the AZ. shooter was at the mercy of serious mental illness, and when the brain is malfunctioning anything from a Rap song to an Elmer Fudd cartoon can set them off.

It appears the shooter did extensive reading od Hitler, Marx, and Mao, and the news and Talk Radio had no part in this attack.

Where is dat pesky politician who hates Socialism.

Wow he looks like a hater to me.

Now ah...

I hope you've got something to back that claim up.
