Actually, we think that those who wish to make laws more restrictive regarding gun and gun-related equipment sales are the ones who must come to terms with what seems relatively obvious - that such laws have a negative effect, not a positive one.

Edit: Not to speak for others, but I think that was accurate...

These past five years has been among the most permissive …

2011 Tucson Massacre, 6 dead
2009 Binghamton Massacre, 14 dead

2008 Northern Illinois University Massacre, 6 dead

2009 - Fort Hood in which a gunman killed 13 people and wounded 30 others.
How telling you left this one out. Don't think it was done with a firearm with an extended clip.
Yet murders go on all the time despite restrictive laws. How many in SF over the last years?

Mexico has much stricter gun laws that The United States. How's there gun crime rate these days?

Where are you on the list?
That is an excellent question. It really is.

I guess I would need to take the #4 spot and the rest drop down one. I’m ok with that though because I would prefer to live in an imperfect country where terrible events like this occasionally occur as opposed to living in a country that outlawed gun ownership.

Where are the Americans who think there's nothing that can be done on the list?
I don’t think they exist anywhere but in your mind. Congress could make a law tomorrow declaring all mass murderers to be ass-wipes but it wouldn’t do anything to stop these events would it? No one thinks “nothing can be done”. Most people simply disagree on what, if anything, should be done.

Where are the people who think that the general public needs to be able to purchase high capacity magazines on the list?
Haven’t really thought about this one until now but I guess they would probably land around #357 on my list. Hi cap mags had less to do with the number of people killed/wounded then the fact that this congresswoman didn’t have any gun toting constituents or some armed law enforcement officers/body guards nearby.

Americans who deny that our lenient laws that cover handgun sales and high capacity magazines had anything to do with the Tucson Massacre, they must come to terms that they are on the list.
I’m proud to admit that I’m on the list because I would rather know that I have a chance at defending myself and my family if another jackal tries something like this while I’m armed.

Just curious, you ever go swimming, drive a car, have a glass of wine or a beer, take a bath, eat peanuts, go snow skiing, ride a motorcycle or walk barefoot in the grass?
