I agree with that and stated that was the term I always used. Of course I can't speak to what other people find offensive. Yet I have a hard time understanding why a Jew (sorry, it just fits here) would have any more problem with that than if someone called me a Catholic. It is a religion, after all.
 
I actually deleted my post after realizing what I had done. It was pointless, my trying to explain something like that. The very fact that the OP exists, means that I had no chance of enlightening anyone.

I simply should not have responded.

I don't know, I guess maybe depending on how it is used. As a verb it can be rather offensive. In general though I wouldn't think so as it is just a contracted from of Jewish. Yes?

Yes, the fallacy of clinal changes that divide all animals of the same species into different phenotypic subcategories through any vast number of geographic and dietary factors, that magically stopped happening to human beings after we discovered how Hitler was going about creating his idiotic "master race". Couldn't possibly have been an agenda pushed by bleeding heart humanists that can really put a damper on future developments in medical science by ignoring these traits, instead of using the knowledge of these traits to our advantage.

I don't really care about his opinion, or any other humanists opinion. Humanism places a value on human life that is simply nonexistent in nature, as most people irrationally do. They view people as "special", instead of being another class of animal.

I am really tired of people getting offended by every other word they see. Nobody has a right not to be offended. Nobody. People, get the hell over yourselves.

LA- what it amounts to is that everyone needs to take a grow-up pill, and get a life. If someone calls me a *&$^#, it doesn't mean anything, unless I somehow identify with the insult personally. Iow, if some part of me believes that indeed, I am a &#*$@, then I am merely reacting to what I see of truth in the insult. I am the only person who has the power to let the beliefs and insult of others affect me, thus I am the only person who has the power to not care what others say or think. If you are okay with whomever and whatever you are, no one's insults can have an effect, unless they turn those words and thoughts into action, at which point I will aggressively stand my ground.

I try to avoid it incase it offend anyone and use Jewish in formal writing. But I think the term Jew by it self isn't meant to be offensive, though it could of course be used in offensive context.

A NatGeo study started in 2005 Genographic Project - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia seeks to map migrations of all people from 11 indigenous populations.
Call them ethnicities if you like (even 'races'), but people/s Are traceable through their genes and of course obvious morphology.
Send in your blood and $150 and they'll tell you what Percent of each race you are.
Since it's un-PC and not technically a perfect term, they use 'indigenous populations' instead of 'race', but it's a solid concept.

Jews, among other have been studied and decidedly Are an Ethnic group. Much documentation available of course.

And there is greater Genetic distance between some human races/populations than there is between, ie, Different Gorilla or Chimpanzee species.

He obviously had no grasp of eugenics, either, since purebreds (which is similar to what he was going for) are weaker, and inferior than the "mutts" he wanted to get rid of. He just wanted total godlike control over a nation full of pretty blonde people. Hitler doesn't even belong in the same discussion as eugenics, because he was going for phenogenetics, which is completely different. Eugenics is the strengthening of the species as a whole, whereas phenogenetics focuses on a single phenotype, or race, or whatever people want to call it. It's dumb, because it rejects the introduction of stronger genes, just because they're not the same, so that particular breed misses out on the strengths others who aren't retarded develop through natural selective breeding.

And he's clearly got he idea that since we have an MRCA we can't have different races.. or species for that matter. Which does not follow.
