(CNN) -- Arthur Sedille was up-front with police: He would often put a gun to his wife's head during fantasy sex play at their Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, home.
But Sedille said he didn't know the gun was loaded when he pressed it to his wife's head and pulled the handgun's slide back during sex on the night of December 21.
Now Sedille, 23, is facing the possibility of a murder charge in Canadian County, Oklahoma, in the death of his wife, 50-year-old Rebecca Sedille -- who died when the handgun went off in their bedroom.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by Oklahoma City police, Sedille said the shooting was accidental. He called 911 afterward, according to police.

Investigators decided to arrest and jail Sedille on suspicion of first-degree murder out of an abundance of caution, said Oklahoma City police Master Sgt. Gary Knight. However, as of Tuesday afternoon, formal charges had not been filed in the investigation, which is ongoing, Knight said.

He declined to comment on investigators' findings so far.

Although a Canadian County judge found that probable cause exists to hold Sedille on the murder charge, assistant district attorney Paul Hesse said Tuesday he has yet to receive a report from police on the case. As a result, formal charges have not yet been filed, Hesse said.

Sedille remained jailed Tuesday in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. Police in Oklahoma City -- which spans five counties and 700 square miles -- book all of their prisoners into that county's jail, Knight said.

Oklahoma man says wife's death was sex fantasy accident - CNN.com

I know people do some crazy things in the bedroom.

On the one hand, if it is true, that it was a fantasy thing, he should have been more careful, I mean come on, would there not be a weight differentiate, if its something they did all the time, he probably should have noticed it was heavier, checked the damn gun, not a clever ****ing move, he should perhaps at least face manslaughter charges, although at minimum criminal negligence.

On the other hand, I think that if the investigation turns up, that they were having marital troubles, or he was a drinker, or something along those lines it might be evidence that he did kill her, and came up with one hell of an excuse.

Hey, I have to say though, sure be one of those times where having a homemade sex tape may have come in handy ;)

Oh boy I'm going to hell...

(What I have said is simply from what I've read, this is an ongoing investigation and until he is proven guilty, the man is innocent. My commentary is not binding :2razz:)

I'd get him for manslaughter, not murder, as it was not pre-planned or malicious.

His wife was more than twice his age...

But that's a MINOR oddity, in this case...

negligent homicide at the very least.

He should at least be charged with negligent homicide. I don't understand why any less charge should be considered.

If they did do this all the time, then how did the gun that they use for sex play get loaded? That seems a little fishy to me. It just seems highly suspicious that either of them would actually load a gun that they both know is used for their sex play.

They are really stupid using a real gun for such a thing anyway. I was always taught that you do not point any gun, even a toy gun, at anything that you don't have an intention to shoot. If someone is intent on doing this for foreplay, then they should at least be safe about it and find a way to make their partner believe that they have a real gun without actually having one. Besides, you always check the gun to see if its loaded or not, no matter what you are doing with the gun. A person should always know whether or not their gun is loaded.

There was a similar case last year where some gay dudes were using a gun during sex play. they would put the gun to the back of the other guy's head during buttsecks and pull the trigger. according to the story, the pitcher left the room to take a piss and while he was gone, the catcher loaded the weapon and when the other dude came back he blew the guy's brains out.

This story sounds mighty fishy. young guy, older chick.....

Children of all ages should never, play with guns.
IMO, this man committed murder and is now making weak excuses.....throw the book and hit the target.

If the guy's story is true, then it would not be murder, but definitely negligent homicide.

I'm really not sure whether I believe the guy or not though. It seems hard to believe that anyone could be stupid enough to use a real gun for fantasy sex play without checking to see if it was loaded. Then again, the world has an abundance of stupid people, so maybe it really is true.

The guy is a cretin!BTW I am missing your Poll.

Canadian and Oklahoman oy vey there is a bad mix:mrgreen:

Negligent homicide, definitely.

The one thing that everyone should know about guns is that every gun IS loaded until you've checked for yourself to be sure that it is not. You can tell me all day that the pistol that you just handed me is empty, but I'm still going to drop the mag and rack the slide just to be sure. I will do this everytime I pick up the weapon, even if it was only out of my sight for a few seconds.
