Read what my reply is to:

And you do not think the potential loss of informants and partisans would not cost more soldiers their lives?

No he didn't. Wikileaks (not Julian Assange) published them. Which is legal...

He's given away American secrets.

So? He's not American. In order for him to have betrayed America he had to have been American. Since he is not then he has no alligence to America. And only a fool would expect him to.

It's not even a rape charge, it's an allegation without proof... and now Assange is on interpol's most wanted. It all seems too convenient.

I value the work of Wikileaks and I hope they keep it up so that crime in government (which we pay for with our taxes) can constantly be exposed.

 I think you lack reading comprehension.

I think you lack intellectual honesty.

Re: Should Julian Assange be tried for his sexual assault allegations and his betraya

If he actually sexually assaulted anyone, then of course he should be tried for it. As far as his 'betrayal' goes, who exactly did he betray? As far as I know, he doesn't work for a government or anything. He was given that information freely, and there was no expectation that he would keep it to himself. The ones at fault here are whoever leaked it to him in the first place.

Re: Should Julian Assange be tried for his sexual assault allegations and his betraya

I dispute your poll. It's not my place to say whether or not he should be tried. If there's a law that government thinks he's violated, and they feel they have sufficient evidence, then sure... give him a trial. This doesn't mean I think he should be convicted, I don't have all the evidence they supposedly do.

As for the Wikileaks stuff (not his questioning for sex by surprise or whatever they called it D:), again, if they feel they can convict him then they can put him through a trial. It's not my place to say whether they should or not, we should put anyone through a trial who breaks the law.

I do dispute the Espionage Act though, and as it stands think it should be gotten rid of, at least insofar as civilians are concerned, and certainly for whistleblowing organizations/news media. I'm open to discussion on this, if you have any points you feel I might be interested in please, by all means, chuck em down.

So my position is neutral, as far as the poll is concerned.
