why is that? are you saying that simply because the right opposes her she is a good choice? Isn't that the same logic that some on the right use to defend Palin? ie, the other side hates her so she must be good for our side?

The difference is that Pelosi,s work is a known. Whereas Palins is…well, a quitter after, what, six months? :2wave:

using that logic...everyone should have voted for McCain, whose work was known, over Obama who had a couple months under his belt.

Personally, I would be happy for Nancy Pelosi if she chose to retire; she's a wealthy woman, she doesn't need the constant demands on her time that comes with national political leadership. I think she's concluded that the Democratic caucus can still benefit significantly from her leadership and I think she's right. She's been a great leader, the most effective Speaker in decades, her achievements are important milestones that will influence American life for the better for many decades to come. Conservatives demonize her but they wouldn't bother if she hadn't been so extraordinarily successful in promoting the progressive agenda. God bless, Nancy Pelosi!

That is why we had the election,58,343,671 people looked at the maverick’s work and said that looks good to me. 66,882,230 decided, no thanks.

Nancy Pelosi is a hypocrite. She has pulled the Democrat party farther left and silenced the moderates within her party. She herself is very left wing and many Americans oppose her. If she still choses to run I will see it as her power grab and refusal to step down and acknowledge that Americans dislike her. She would sacrifice her party in order to keep her power.

I agree with you that she is very much hated, although I don't know if she has pushed the Party left, or if the parties themselves have shifted left/right. I guess that is another topic though.

Anyone who knows anything about politics knows Nancy Pelosi's main political challenges within the Democratic party are from the left, not the right. She responsibly opposed impeachment of GWB in 2007 and, for her trouble, earned an independent opponent, Cindy Sheehan, in 2008. Every year she is criticized for her lack of commitment to pure ideology; e.g., the “public option.” Pelosi is fundamentally a political pragmatist and her extraordinary legislative record shows that. The conservative attacks present here and elsewhere are ignorant of those political realities. It is sad and pathetic that people who claim to be interested in politics should be so poorly informed.

Eh Hat... hate to break it to ya... too late... the Reds aka SAPs are here already.
Some got their asses booted, and the next crop are on the way out in 2012.

Take a look at how much of the Commi Manifesto we've swallowed already.

No conspiracy... Milton Friedman accurately stated our med system was Commi before ObamaKare.
The Grating Society.
The Raw Deal.
Medicare.
Medicaid.
Schip.
Graduated Taxation.
Class Warfare.

And that's the tip of the iceberg.
I suggest you remove your head from your anus.

I've lived in more socialist countries than you've probably vacationed in. EASY... I've lived more than half my life outside the US... so save your lame smack for Amateur Hour Junior.

As for news... I've probably got a far more diverse palette... including foreign language news mein freund. Und du?

Well, that's something the left would say about Bush 43. You smok'in dat **** mon?

I used to be a socialist, so spare me the crap Junior. I kept an open mind and made a transition to conservatism over many years. So... put that in your pipe and smoke it. I know the left very well... I used to be one of the retards from that side. Thankfully I had some intellectual curiosity and a lot of exposure during years of travel. But I was young, and grew up in a socialist environment... so if you're fed crap... you'll most likely spew it... and I did. Boy... looking back... was I a moron.

They're trying to install Euro-styled-socialism... which is socialist. Hell, some parliaments have Commies, and others like Greece are run by them.

Nobody said it is a conspiracy... IT'S AN AGENDA... Big difference.

That you keep bringing up conspiracy illustrates how lame your rhetoric is. It didn't take long for the electorate to learn what Obama and his ilk's real agenda is... and upon learning the hard way... rejected it in historic fashion... which Americans tend to do.

It's why SAPs have to lie to get elected. Now they lie and have Journolists as their propagandists to further their AGENDA.

Don't Bogart that J my friend.

.

See what I mean? He's insane. He doesn't even think there's a conspiracy. He knows there's is one. Classic symptoms of somebody who is nothing more than a non-existent footnote in the tapestry of life. Keep that tin foil hat on Zimmy.

Ahhh... nice try Hat... but I'm not a conspiracy theorist of any sort. I'm starting to think you're wholly political illiterate, for you have thrown accusations out without any basis for backing them up.

The left's leadership has an aggressive mentality which drives hard toward Eurosocialism, and has for decades.
Where were the Blue Dawgs? Those who ran as Republicans in 2006... as Pelosi, Reid, Kerry and all the leftist radikals went into hiding?
I'm sure you have no idea what I'm talking about.

We sure didn't see any Blue Dawgs in the last Congress now did we, though many ran and won on that platform?

Where were these fiscal conservative Dems?

Where are those upholding The Constitution?

You have been exposed for a sack of hot air. I venture that's too much.

Just for amusement sake, where do you see conspiracy theory in my writings?
Is Milton Friedman one too? He called the pre-ObamaKare med system Commi.

...As you were.

More Kool-Aid please.

Some Republicans must really be pissed that Pelosi wins with overwhelming majorities each and every time. 70%, 80%, 85%.... I guess it must suck that they can't seem to find anybody to get her out.

She runs in the most liberal district in America. You think that a Republican not getting elected is telling of something?

It's easy to be a liberal in San Francisco, just like Rangel in Harlem. What a joke. I hope she stays, so she can **** the Democratic Party some more.

Pelosi: ‘We Didn’t Lose Because of Me’
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she has the “overwhelming support” of fellow Democrats in her bid to become minority leader in the next Congress, and says she’s not to blame for the Democrats’ mid-term debacle.

“We didn’t lose the election because of me,” Ms. Pelosi told National Public Radio in an interview that aired Friday morning. “Our members do not accept that.”

1. Denial is a wonderful thing... sometimes... this time.
2. Is she blaming Obama?
3. You Go Girl!

Here is what I`m tired of:

I'm tired of people like you. People who are so intellectually bland that they need to concoct conspiracies to make themselves feel special. I have no doubt that you live a pretty boring life with a boring husband, boring kids and a boring job. You, like most people, are a boring person. You've probably never left the U.S. for anything other than a vacation. You've probably never read anything which contradicts your dogma. You probably don't even stray too far from FOXNews and Newsbusters. How could you? Straying away from people who support you in your beliefs would be a bad thing. You need to believe that there is a conspiracy because otherwise, your life is just boring and without much purpose. However, you're not alone. There are millions of people like you on both the right and left. You're bored with your lives so you need to believe there are lizards coming after you or that the government wants to put microchips in your head. You are playing make belief so that you don't have to deal with your boring reality. You are essentially a political version of people who believe the government is hiding something in Area 51. Only you`re toxic in your beliefs, you spew untruths to make you seem like you have some ultimate knowledge that the rest of world doesn't. If you were a left winger you'd be telling people Bush himself flew a plane into the WTC. If you were a Libertarian you'd be telling people the government wants to kill your kids with ObamaCare. You are a bottom feeder in the political world so you need to do something to boost your self esteem. Don't get me wrong, it's not conservatives I'm tired of. I'm tired of people who have delusions of grandeur hijacking political debates.

People like you and Zimmer.

But here is my advice to you because Zimmer is a lost case. You should really seek some help. What you are doing to yourself is not healthy. It's not good to spew lies. Specially when you know deep inside they're not true. I guarantee it because I've been there. I use to believe the military had gone to Iraq to kill people. This is regardless of the fact that I have several members of the military in my own family. I would tell the lie often just so that I had no doubt it was true because I needed it to be true as many of my beliefs depended on it being true. When I started learning about the military I realized, they're not killers. They're just trying to do their jobs. Once you open your mind to the world, you start realizing that it's a lot more boring than conspiracies make it out to be. People aren't trying to take your guns away. They're not trying to kill your family with universal health care. People aren't even trying to install communism in the U.S.; nobody cares about you anymore than they care about themselves. There simply isn't a conspiracy right in front of my eyes or yours. There isn't.

The world is a cold and boring place.

Do you feel better now?

Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean the Commies aren't out to get us.:afraid::alert:gunsmilie
