I prefer to support small, local coffee places. There are dozens of coffee kiosks here in town, and my favorite isn't necessarily the one I go to for the best coffee, but she always gives my dog a treat, so he won't let me go anywhere else.

Your dog should realize that relationships are not a one-way street.

He does, Apoc, he does.

If I stop long enough to let him out of the truck, he makes sure to anoint the surrounding shrubbery in his own special way.

I don't know if it's the best tasting, but I go to Starbucks almost every day.

LOL... you're the stereotypical Lib caricature.

McD's has put a hurting to Starbucks... coffee is great (in Europe anyway).
All time favorite... anywhere in Bella Italia for an Espresso.

Too much US coffee is like watered down tea. God awful.

Ok, all of you java hounds out there, while reading another thread here at DP I've decided to seek the opinions of the pros. Which "on the go" (fast food) brand of coffee is the best. I read a blind taste test study about a year ago that said professional taste testers overwhelmingly chose McDonalds? I've a hard time believing that one, but....who knows? Perhaps some of you could shed some light on the subject. :coffeepap

I don't recognise some of the US names but here in the UK, Caffè Nero is a good coffee seller and has branches around the country. I tend to steer clear of fancy coffee if I'm eating fon the go. I'll try and go to local cafe-bars whenever I can.

I will say otherwise I'd rather have a proper "Americano" at McD's than a bucket of coffee flavoured warm milk at Starbuck's or Costa. Not sure if Costa exists in the US but they have branches in bookshops, museums and classy dept stores.

Were these
"professional taste testers" also tea bagging conservatives??>>>LOL...
My son-in-law's coffee is as good as any(freshly ground, lovingly brewed and then flavored with some Bailey's hazelnut creamer)......the antithesis of "fast food".....

my wife swears by McDonald's coffee. She says it is the only thing worth buying there, so at least that part of her story checks out.
