You are making up lies of racism and you have the nerve to accuse others of making up ****?

I already have.Post 35 and post 22. And I have never given a race based reason for anything. If I have then I am sure that you can quote the post.

How is it racism?

It is rather funny. I've yet to see you post anything about any single race in this thread..and yet you're supposedly xenophobic and racist. I seriously don't think that he knows the meaning of either of those words.

I've given your ridiculousness enough of my time. I'm not going to draw you a picture, since that seems to be what it would take to get through to you, assuming your coy little ripostes are manifestations of gross ignorance and not just everyday lying.

I've pointed it out to you enough times that anyone who isn't blinded by slavish devotion to right-wing partisanship could grasp it.

Dismissed.

If we are looking for the best and brightest, why do we have to limit it by country? It's entirely possible that some countries have more than others.
Right, which would mean those with the most couldn't have all immigrate, and those with very few could have all immigrate.

The ones with the most, such as the more high-tech and developed countries (the EU and area come to mind), might not even have enough want to immigrate to meet a quota.

Whereas the ones with very few, like the conflict-torn African countries, could have all immigrate - a downside for the countries involved, as all their best and brightest are fleeing, but...

If anything, such a quota system would seem to be biased/racist against those from “white” nations.

So instead of backing up your claims you are going to run away like a little bitch? If I posted a race based or racist reason for something then please post the quote.

But why would we differentiate? We are trying to benefit our own country, not anyone else's.

I'm skeptical if it would truly harm the nations in question. The so-called "brain drain" might be a negative for them in the short term, since they will lose some of their most talented people. However, this is offset somewhat in the short term via cash remittances to their home countries. In the long run, I think immigration is beneficial to their home nations as well. Rather than a permanent brain drain, many workers eventually go back home with the knowledge and experience they gained here, and go on to make their home countries a better place. Even if they do not do this directly, having them in the country increases our network with talented people abroad. I think we've really seen this with India over the past 20 years. Yes, a lot of talented Indians are coming here...but the Indian economy is booming as well, partially due to the people with contacts in both countries.

I personally don't care much, although don't like the idea of a quota - I was simply arguing against someone who had claimed the idea would be racist, if I recall correctly
