Vote! Top U2 Song (pt1)

Your band plays 1 U2 cover?
or Your band plays the U2 cover, One?

I just realized U2 has a song called "One." My bad.

We play 1 U2 song. Streets Have No Names..

All due respect to U2 but they are not exactly my cup o' tea.

I prefer Pink Floyd, Dream Theatre and a zillion other bands.

I may have never bought a U2 album but neither have I changed radio channels when they come on. I don't dislike them, I just don't like them. Know what I mean?

We have a local U2 tribute act. Nice guys. But, to me, they aren't much more than Elvis impersonators.

Mother is the only PF song I really liked. There are a few more that I find worthwhile. My favorite David Gilmour work though was with the lovely and talented Kate Bush.

YouTube - Kate Bush - Love & Anger

"I Will Follow" and "Sunday, Bloody Sunday"

Took the third page and OC to mention their best song by far - With or Without You.

Mysterious Ways does rock though.

Oh there's plenty of good U2 songs. I do like their live versions as they often extend the instrumental.

One good (cover) U2 song done only live is "You've Lost that loving feeling"

Techno is such a broad term, but when I think of techno, I tend to think of trance. This is more of a subset of house. However, industrial as a form of music has been around at least since the late 60s.

Throbbing Gristle, anybody?

I never liked TG much (I know, it kills my cred to say it). This may have to do with the fact that I have never been able to get my hands on a high quality recording of their music.

yeah, but SoundGarden was about the newest thing I listen to. Hate to date myself but I have yet to see anybody that could drum LIke Bonham or play a guitar like Duane or Jimmy or even Mick Jones.

If you are looking for a guitar band, you might like these guys.

With that group, I think taking in the live act was part of the experience, anyway, as they were as much about performance art as they were music.
