What kind of music do you like?

I did the best I could with the limited # of options, but someone is going to complain of course.

My favorites styles tend to be Industrial/EBM/Synthpop/Darkware/Coldwave and various flavors of heavy metal.

indie, neopsych, jangle, shoegaze and powerpop for the most part.

Grind, death, sludge, crust, hardcore, punk, skate, thrash, industrial(especially industrial metal).

I mostly listen to the various rock sub-genres. I listen to rap and pop a bit, and also enjoy some classical music. I can't stand country or techno.

I'm not complaining - really.

I have to add classical, jazz, international (with artists such as Astrud Gilberto and Edith Piaf) along with pop, rock and roll (Zeppelin lives!), SOME country/western/folk, blues; my tastes are pretty much varied but I draw the line at rap.

I wanted to add Jazz and Classical, but I figured that they were more minor categories these days.

various blues rock, post-grunge rock, country, southern rock bands are my favs. I also like the classics like zepplin black crowes ACDC (they are probobly included in these genres though).

When I did the rock n roll category, I figured it would be anything from the delrays and beach boys to more modern stuff and everything in between. Rock N Roll is such a huge category that a single name probably doesn't do it justice.

It will be easier if I just tell you which ones I DON'T like.

Punk, Metal, Grunge, Hardcore, Rap.

Other than those I've yet to come across any type of music that I didn't like.

I voted for everything but pop and punk.

I like all types of music, but I find myself listening most to rock, and metal.

I like both kinds....country and western ;)

Elwood: What kind of music do you usually have here?
Claire: Oh, we got both kinds. We got country *and* western. ....

I tend to like the lyrics in contemporary christian, but the music moves ... so ... slowly. I like something with a beat. Christian punk and metal is just cheesy though, except maybe stuff like demon slayer.

Um - no. Classical and jazz are alive and well. However, in the case one considers them minor, one might as well add show tunes to such a list. LOL

I'm just wondering why there was no option for psychobilly or slamgrass?
