Because apparently negative feelings about him are all lumped into one word (hate) by his supporters, I thought I would do a poll. Bonus points if you know that 'loathe' and 'despise' are not the same, by definition, as 'hate'.

Where is the option for "could care less and wish people would stop making threads about him"?

Ambivalent.

And since this is my first thread about him, and I felt it was necessary given the crap that's going on in the others, I'm just going to assume you weren't talking to or about me.

I don't like him, but not enough to actually to actually like talk much about him or anything.

He is a lying asshat, but I am tired of hearing about him.

I could care less about him. He's not that important. Though I do wish people would stop taking him so seriously.

his main benefit is causing massive projectile vomiting and disruptive bowel syndrome among many members of the loony left
Its like Ann Coulter (who is much smarter and more acidic)

Maybe that's what is going on here? The supporters have very strong feelings, so they assume the detractors' are equal but opposite.

My feelings are apathetic. I could care less. I don't hate, nor do I like him.

I'm pretty apathetic. I think he's an idiot; but there ain't no law against that. So que sera sera.

He's just another guy on television. I find myself reading books a lot more often now.

Also, please see my sig.

True dat. - I probably should have used apathetic rather than ambivalent.

Yes, I was deeply admiring your sig several days ago. :)

Thank you. I thought it up all by myself.

Most excellent. Personally, I usually compare them to Jerry Springer. Tomato, tomahto.

True, Jerry Springer being an actual officeholder (which boggles the mind).

Wow. So ... I guess there is hope for Beck after all??

I think you just ruined my dinner.

Never say never.

I think he's an idiot. I have exactly the same feelings about him that I have about Michael Moore, Sarah Palin, and Keith Olberman.

I reserve my feelings of hate for my ex-husband.

Never watched any of his shows so could care less one way or another.

Exactly! Feelings of hate are reserved for personal damages, IMO. Or damages on the scale of world wars. Not this dude.

I have strong negative feelings about him - and in the flavor of Supreme Justice I'll give a differing opinion on the issue.

I don't like him because of his heavy religious and spiritual (very preachy) rhetoric. I don't like his style - at all. He absolutely annoys the crap out of me.

On the other hand - sometimes I agree with things he says. But that's true for everyone - not everyone is a douche 100% of the time.

BUT - he always preaches something and I just can't stand that. It really forces me to tune him out.

Can I just point out, to indulge my inner grammar Nazi, that it should be "COULDN'T care less, as in, the amount at which you care could not get any lower, otherwise, if you leave out that vital "n't", you are suggesting that your feelings of ambivalence could in fact be less.

I have no feelings towards Beck at all as a person, having said that I do hate the profession the man is in with a passion.
