How many people will be at the 8.28 Restoring Honor Rally tomorrow in D.C.?

How many people will be at the Restoring Honor Rally?

  • Total voters
    16
  • Poll closed .
Who is everybody? And why does the left hate Beck so much?

Why should anybody tell you? You don't listen. I don't think I've seen one person say they hate him. Loathe or despise is as far as it gets. Why is it so important to you to believe that he's hated? Is that his persona, "the most hated man in America?"

Frankly, I'm not sure half the country even knows he exists, and likely not most of the world. He really isn't worth the attention he gets.

So...

How many people WERE at this "Restoring Honor Rally"?

It sounded like the numbers reported varied.

But I gathered 200,000-300,000 was the more-or-less agreed number?

Or was it less?

Find them then. I have not.

I'm saying that your statement is a bit absurd. There's no difference between saying:

"I loathe Glenn Beck,"
"I despise Glenn Beck," or
"I hate Glenn Beck"

"Restoring Honor", my arse..
Did you watch the rally? Assuming you did (and I know, this is a bigg assumption on my part), what part of it did you have a problem with?

These tea-baggers really want to restore "good ole whitey" rule.
Do you have any proof of this? Have you been to a Tea Party or is what you know of the Tea Parties what you are fed by MSNBC and left-wing blog sites?

If only they could be open and honest.
Ummm, they are. I've been to more than one Tea Party and I didn't meet one person that even remotely appeard to be dishonest.

Disgusting!
What is disgusting for a group of people expecting their government to be held accountable for the mess they have gotten us into? What is disgusting for a group of people to unite together and turn to God?

Progressives ?
Yes, progressives.

Beck is against the Progressives?
Umm, yes. I am assuming that you have yet to watch a Glenn Beck show. Let me guess, you get your "news" about Beck from the usual left-wing media outlets (MSNBC, HuffPo, etc...)?

Something wrong with progress,beck?
Progressivism isn't about progress at all. Are you purposely being intellectually dishonest here or do you not have a clue what the progressive movement is all about?

Another dishonest SOB.[/QUOTE]
How exactly is he dishonest? And give me some real proof, not a HuffPo, TYT or MSNBC article. Give me something real.

You can attach whatever definitions you want, but "loathe," "despise," and "hate" are interchangeable so far as this discussion goes.

As far as this discussion goes; is that a mod pronouncement?

If people aren't willing to acknowledge different words have different meanings, then yeah; I got nothin.

No, it's a logical statement based on the fact that you're being unreasonably pedantic.

okay.

I hate him but I hate Ed Schultz and Rachel Maddow too, the only difference is I don't hate them as much because they don't talk out their ass nearly as much. I hate him like I hate Jersey Shore, Whoopi Golberg, etc just for different reasons.

The guy uses information like a weapon and not a weapon for the good of anyone but himself, that is the difference in my hate for him and other trivial **** I hate on TV. I look forward to the day he is ousted as a fraud and not the savior people want him to be, I would assume by way of a phone conversation leaked of him calling his followers suckers or something. Then you'll be able to get all the Beck you want on Dancing with the Stars and Celebrity Fit Club, maybe even the Apprentice.

Did you watch the rally? Assuming you did (and I know, this is a bigg assumption on my part), what part of it did you have a problem with?I'd sooner watch gold-fish or bumble-bees; they are more interesting than a bunch of sheeple. No problems of course, why would you think that??

Do you have any proof of this? Have you been to a Tea Party or is what you know of the Tea Parties what you are fed by MSNBC and left-wing blog sites? PBS, yes, too much MSNBC, which is taken with grains of salt. But a lot of PBS, and some BBC.

Ummm, they are. I've been to more than one Tea Party and I didn't meet one person that even remotely appeared to be dishonest. It takes time, and more time to get to know people....lets face it, Negroes are not "popular".

What is disgusting for a group of people expecting their government to be held accountable for the mess they have gotten us into? What is disgusting for a group of people to unite together and turn to God? People are the problem, not government..."turn to God...?? why did man turn FROM God??

Yes, progressives.

Progressivism isn't about progress at all. Are you purposely being intellectually dishonest here or do you not have a clue what the progressive movement is all about? Expected insults.. Its about a better life for 97% of us.

Another dishonest SOB.

Okay. So - just making sure I'm following along. As far as this discussion goes, they are not interchangeable. But outside of this discussion they are? So within this discussion I'm being unreasonably pedantic, but outside of it I wouldn't be?

Okay.

"Hate," "loathe," and "despise" do indeed have different dictionary definitions, as any 5th grader understands. However, in colloquial speech, they are essentially interchangeable. If you said "I despise chili," people would understand that you mean the same thing as if you said "I loathe chili" or "I hate chili."

Rather than acknowledge this, you're stubbornly arguing that although people say that they "loathe" or "despise" Glenn Beck, that's not as bad as saying that they "hate" Glenn Beck. I think that's insanely pedantic and don't know why I'm still arguing about this. So I'm done.
