Should we worry that America will become Sharia compliant?

Should we worry that America will become Sharia compliant?

I was more referring to it ACTUALLY being condoned in the U.S.

Yeah, anyone could be worried about Sharia Law... but that doesn't mean it will be integrated into our judicial system. Especially concerning the Sharia laws that go against our constitution and practices.

Im not arguing that it WILL necessarily...but I have pointed out (with an article supporting the reailty) that in England they have 'allowed' for Sharia to be practiced (something which shocks many Brits)...so all I would suggest is that rather than roll over in the name of political correctness (a trend which I find hilarious with liberals and the muslim religion for some reason), that we remain as vigilant as I think you are suggesting and it is not then likely to happen here.

The day we have to worry about Sharia law in the US is the day we need to start worrying about other non-factors like Skynet or zombie infestation.

Its fear mongering, period but, sadly a lot of ‘conservatives’ are falling for it because, they like to follow.

2 words for you...'Great' and 'Britain'...

I HOPE NOT...I really truly hope we never have to worry about it. It is as inconceivable to me as I am sure it is to you.

Then again I would have NEVER thought England would start allowing that bull**** either.

I'm sure as hell worried about zombie infestation.

From what I hear of Great Britain, it's getting downright Orwellian, what with the cameras every five feet, the ASBO's and so on.

Thats very scary. The next thing you know the ruling party will announce that they have the right to read civilians texts and emails, monitor their cell phone calls without warrants, use exray trucks and scan citizens walking down the street, and use predators to spy on their own people.

Zombies are serious business.

Yes, this is what I'm saying. The American citizens... at least vigilant American citizens... would never let Sharia law be integrated into our judicial system.

You know, this was actually a pretty interesting read! That's a load off my back :)

5 words for you

We are not Great Britain.

What the UK does is up to the UK, but we have a written Constitution, it's a contract between We the People and the government. Sharia law in its strictest and most brutal form goes against that contract and thus cannot be implemented

Then you obviously don't have a very good zombie plan. The remainder of us can rest easy knowing that we're all prepared for zombie outbreak.

No...we arent. We typically lag Europeans 'progressive' trends by about 10 years.

Im not saying we WILL allow for the use of Sharia here. I hope and pray that it doesnt happen. I think people need to be aware and be vigilant and protective of the constitution and constitutional rights...in all realms. But I think it is foolish to just run around with your (the generic 'your') head up your ass and PRETEND it could NEVER happen here. We already did that...and it bit us hard in 2001.

Ummm....they're UNDEAD! Sure, for us once we die, bacteria and insects have at it. But zombies are undead, they were once dead but now they're not quite dead. That article is not only full of false information, but it is incredibly deadly since it's propagating misleading and potentially deadly information.

The overwhelming majority of zombie movies explains the re-animation of the dead using science. It's almost always because of some military experimental serum that ends up causing the zombie apocalypse, so if the explanation is scientific, then the zombies themselves must therefore also be bound by the laws of science. Now some of the reasons in that article are sort of iffy, but right off the top of my head, and if we're being scientific, a body can't move on broken bones, muscles eaten away by predators (or bacteria) can't make bones move, water inside the zombies in freezing temperatures will freeze the zombies themselves immobile, etc.

Also, you have to admit that all these movies do conveniently fast forward past the point where the military has already been inexplicably compromised by an unarmed, slow moving crowd of grounded beings. We developed the technology to deal with that level of crowd control with the invention of the ****ing crossbow, or before that when we learned to light arrows on fire.

However, if we're talking about supernatural causes, then yeah, I can't trump that.
