Should killer sharks be killed.

Should killer sharks be killed?

That's kinda what the shark does sometimes. But instead of cutting fins off, it takes a calf, or a foot, or a thigh. I can see how a reasonable person might object to the people who take a shark just for the fin, or a rhino just for the horn, or an elephant, just for the tusk. That don't set right with me either.

So, to be clear, I ain't that kind of a shark killer. I try to avoid shark altogether. But when one gets on my hook, one goes in the freezer. When two get on my hook, the second one is gutted and returned back to the ocean's food chain. I really detest that animal. Just as the shark is hardwired to attack the occassional human, I am hardwired to cut the occassional shark up and return it to the briny deep as fish fodder.

Ahhh.... balance is awesome. You're ALL awesome.

You are supposed to have a brain and intelligence that enables you to not act like a mindless shark that reacts to hard-wiring alone... big difference.

in light of a man being killed by a shark and the subsequent hunt for the shark, do you think that, if they manage to find this one shark out of many, this shark should be killed, and do you think sharks should be killed if they attack?

Silly humans and their sense of entitlement to revenge.

Reminds of something I once read about Ming Dynasty China. There was once a case where an elephant was brought before the court because he hit his owner with his trunk. The imperial court sentenced the elephant to have one shackle placed on each foot, and adjacent chains attached to 4 different elephants that would walk in different directions to pull the elephant to the ground. Once down, he would be beaten with bamboo for disrespecting his owner.

I mean honestly... not much has changed in the past 500 years.

I say yes. If it takes one of us, we take it. I don't care if it's some ignorant animal.

Should Politician who lies be killed?

Should sharks kill people who kill sharks?

Nope. It would not be in their intrest, because we'd take it personally and we're way more badass as a species.

Nah... I think if we take one of theirs, it's only fair they take one of ours. That's how it works. In fact, they should probably kill even more so as to "tip the scales" in their favor.

They're welcome to try.

We are the superior species. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated and made into sharkburgers and cosmetic compounds. :lamo

Sharks have far more to fear from humans than we do from sharks, sadly. In this part of the world, shark fin soup if a popular dish.

Yeah ... and it's a dish that causes illness in those who eat it too often.

No. Sharks are cool.

But we should bomb the **** out of those KILLER BEES.

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!

And no one I know eats it "too often" because it is so expensive....

And, BTW, it is a practice I strongly deplore... which you would know if you got your head out of extreme partisan mode and actually read the thread...

Should man think at the level of a shark?
Apparently, some here do(the 20%).
Should the penalty for trespassing be death?
Some in this world do (Iran, sharks, N Korea, American criminal gangs).

Sharks, like other wild animals, don't kill for the 'sport' or the 'fun' of it. They kill out of necessity to eat and survive. It's been theorized time and time again that sharks will often times mistake surfers for seals.

I don't understand why a person or persons would hunt down a wild animal for doing what wild animals do - they hunt prey in order to survive.

If a person is in their territory, they have to realize that there is a chance they might be attacked.

So my answer to the poll question is: No, I don't think they should kill this shark and I believe it's a waste of time to try and find it.
