Be very grateful for the excellent pension benefits that your next-door neighbors are funding. If they knew what I've posted here, they'd be marchin' in the streets. Most people have nooooo idea. "Teachers are underpaid. Boo-freakin'-Hoo."
Your average parent is a total fool, existing only to be manipulated and consumed.
Example:
The city had to cut one (1) fourth grade teacher from it's budget.
There was one (1) kindergarten teacher qualified to teach fifth grade who was then taken from the K class she was teaching and placed in the fourth grade class to replace the reject.
Now, any normal person would say....take the 22 kids from the displaced kindergarten and distribute them among the other four kindergarten classes, and that's the limit of the reshuffling.
Naturally, no normal people work for the school district. Only an abnormal con-man sort of person could figure out some way to make the above switch involve the first, second, third, and fourth grades as well. But, public school administrators are nothing if not creative in screwing with people's families so as many people as possible can get sucked into the myth that the school is perpetually on the verge of financial collapse.
So, the some of the kindergartners were shifted into a split class with first graders...thereby screwing up the time the first graders had with their teacher. Some of the first graders were shifted to shared classes with second graders, some second graders were shifted to (you got it) shared classes with third graders, and the fourth graders were sharing classes with third graders.
And most mothers of all these disrupted children were complaining about the awful stinginess of Sacramento, and only a few of them showed any kind of a light when it was pointed out to them that there was no need to mess up the first, second, third, and fourth graders.
It was all a scam, and most parents are too damn stupid to see it, and worse, they're raising children who will be too damn stupid to see the next con from the government, too.
