Just want to find out the varying positions on this highly politically important subject. ;)

Edit: here are the the rants at the following site

I think this is all an elaborate alternate reality game that is nothing but a precursor to generate hype for his celebrated comeback to the "buddy cop" genre starting with a movie he'll be in with Michael Richards as his co-star.

I'm a firm believer that everyone has their prejudices some are just far more extreme than others. People love to see successful people crash and burn, it seems to be a hobby for many Americans. I personally quit caring for Mel Gibson after he decided it would be a good idea to become a billionaire off of Jesus Christ. Payback and Mad Max are ****ing sweet though.

This time is that much worse. It's rather like when Alec Baldwin called his 11 y/o daughter a pig. Prejudice? Yeah, fine; whatever. He played that card a few years back. But this stuff, he completely lost control and was taped repeatedly while doing so. The physical violence against a woman is what has a great many more people engaged than the usual celebrity fappery.

Mel Gibson, like Tom Cruise and a host of other celebrities, is just plain nuts. I stopped really paying attention to him years ago, after the Jew rants. If he makes a good movie, I might watch it, but otherwise, I don't give a crap.

but seriously do you care, does this effect you? I say let the guy battle his demons by himself.

Then he should be battling in private.

You probably don't know this, but I don't actually own TMZ or Radar Online. A lot of people seem to miss part 2 of How Things Work. You can do whatever the hell you want, and if you do so in public, people get to comment and otherwise respond.

Now that some time has passed, I have a little different take on this situation. He was quite obviously completely out of control. She sounded like she was "gathering evidence." Her responses to him were totally inappropriate. If someone was talking to me that way, I'da just hung up. I think her passive attitude was designed to have him up the ante -- a trap he readily fell into. He'd probably been drinking or was on drugs.

If I'm not mistaken, I think she's claimed he's gotten physical with her in the past. I have no time for that on EITHER side. His OR hers. One push/slap = restraining order = permanent separation. The fact that she didn't proceed in that manner says she's part of the problem.

There's more to this story, I think. She is not an innocent. She was baiting him, no doubt.

I happen to care about domestic violence victims so yeah I care about what he has done to her:(

I don't care what he said. Everyone says stupid sh*t when they're mad. That Russian chick is really trying to wipe him out. She wants half of his fortune. I think she is a gold digger and gives good women a bad name.
