It seems to me that, homosexuality, as opposed to heterosexuality seems to completely, and utterly define the person. Perhaps that is an abject failure in our understanding of human sexuality? I voted 'F'. It's not merely about shouting at the top of one's lungs about the object of one's desire, or the most current of sexual conquests. DADT is/was a compromise, completely political in nature; (Pardon the pun) one born out of the existence of a perceived injustice. Homosexuals seem, almost exclusively narcissistic, at least the ones I've ever met. Not to say that narcissism doesn't apply to anyone else, but not at the same levels; one might even say that narcissism is a trait shared by homosexuals, both female and male.

Selfishness, and entitlement, are not common denominators for the average military Joe, in-fact quite the opposite is true. If one prescribes to the notion that we segregate females from men for appropriate reasons, then logic follows that we must also segregate male, and female homosexuals from the objects of their desires as well. I find it difficult to reconcile in my mind that a ban on homosexuals serving is a great idea, I don't feel that way. As a Principled conservative, and an American, I find that idea, well.. UnAmerican, however, there are distinct, and valid reasons for the DADT policy. The "compromise" is the best we can get in our current cultural-evolution.

Yes this is my first post to this forum. I was invited here by another member, and I think I'll look around some more.
