Am I the only one who tries to throw the stress off while trying to deal with it?

''But it is bad to startle me, especially if I am asleep or semi-conscious. ''

That seems like my boyfriend. He has scared a few friends who came accross him sleeping, by suddenly jumping up and shouting, ''who are you?'' while raising his arms to grab them. He has got used to my presence at night, so doesnt pounce on me and bellow, when I walk into a room he is sleeping in.

I try to resist it too, but I think this only makes me feel worse.
