nope, i just feel the poll is ridiculous, but i'll explain my reasons why just so i'm not completely trolling:mrgreen:

He hates all white people: as a politician, i do doubt he'd hate 80% of people who could potentialy vote for him, and i just don't see him as a racist.
He is a muslim: there is no proof for this what so ever, and one does not inherit the religion of their parents
He isnt a citizen: i doubt their have been no checks on his citizenship since he was born
He wants the terrorist to win: if he did, you'd think he'd revoke all the anti-terror laws, withdraw from the middle east etc. their is no proof for this one
He wants to take away your guns: i can't say i have ever heard him advocate a complete gun ban
He wants America to fail: what could he possibly gain form this? why would he do it? and their is no proof.
He is the Anti-Christ: ok, this i agree with:roll:
He is a socialist: no, he is simply a liberal, this is just hyperbole

I agree the people that think some of that stuff are ridiculous BUT the poll isnt at all because people do in fact believe all these things and I was curious who and why. As poll are intended i wanted insight to the people that actually think this way to see if there was logic behind it. I think thats fair instead of writing them all off

At the time of this post, I see liberals and centrists posting their thoughts. But the only conservatives I see are LaMidRighter and Mellie.

Considering his anti-2nd amendment past then that means there is good reason to believe that he either wants to ban firearms to severally restrict them under so called common sense regulations". Judging by the state he comes from there is very good reason to believe that he and any other lib from that state wishes to ban firearms.It is a complete lie to say that he doesn't want to take away our firearms.

Seeing how he does wish for socialized medicine/tax payer funded medicine then that makes he a socialist.

He hates all white people
Seeing how Obama went to a racist anti-American church(anyone can hear the reverend wright audio) there is a good chance he may be a racist and a anti-American. Would you go to Fred Phelp's church if you didn't hate gays or the military? Would join code pink if you were not anti-war and anti-military? If the answer to any of those questions is no then why would you join a church ran by a anti-American racist preacher? Obviously it must be a common thing for that preacher to say such thing seeing how no one in his congregation bothered to tell Obama what the preacher said or that it wasn't gossip the next following sundays. But seeing how most politicians are phonies when it comes to religions 5(for example Nacy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy and etc who pretend to be catholics) and only wear religion on their sleeve for votes there is strong chance Obama does the same thing. So he most likely is not an Anti-American or a racist.

I can think of no kind words to describe this poll nor the thing behind it. Note that I did not use "man".
We have problems in our nation and need solutions - or at least steps in the right direction..
The first step is education.
Read some good books rather than spending all day playing video games.
Do we have an entire generation of men with violent reactions rather than thinking and reasoning about problems??
We must study those nations more successful than ours.

ive read his stance and view, still dont believe he wants to take guns "away"he wants tougher laws and the ones we have enforced though thats for sure. Not to mention I honestly NEVER worry about my right to bare arms because in reality NOBODY will take that away, IMO its just something to cry about but in reality will never come to be

medicine alone is hardly enough and the healthcare bill is hardly that socialized in reality. He only put MORE regulations on it.

He is white, as white as he is black, anyway, and probably even whiter than that, seeing as how he was raised exclusively by white people, attended exclusive prep-schools where he was always one of only a handful of black students, and only met his black father one time, when he was ten years old. :roll:

Any "blackness" he has was deliberately assumed in adulthood, as he makes clear in his memoir, while traveling around Kenya and living in the ghetto in Chicago working as a community organizer.
That doesn't mean it isn't real; it just means he had to go out looking for it.
He did not grow up with "black" as part of his identity.
He did not even reach adulthood with "black" as part of his identity.

Oh so you were referring to the Harris poll and not mine? yes that was very misleading and confusing. Apologies all around ;)

Next while i agree that answering yes to some of these questions DEFINITELY makes you look foolish, very foolish, its not just conservatives that answer yes. And certainly not all conservatives are foolish IMO. The extreme ones are but so are most extremists with anything. Conservatives and righties do seem to be way more partisan than others but I also think those guys and the extremist are the ones that get the most press coverage, I know some very good righties and conservatives that still get what they think is right may not be right for me and get AMERICAN values/fairness/equality

I chose 2 poll options, but only because they are a hyped up version of what I think is actually the case, and thus closest to part of my opinion:
"He wants to take away your guns." Yes and no. I believe he is anti-gun and wants more stringent gun laws. Perhaps even to confiscate some weapons. Not all, however.

"He is a socialist." Again, yes and no. I believe he has social and fiscal views that are considered by some to be "socialist". I believe that he would prefer a more socialist system. It all depends on how you define socialist. I'm sure there are some people who considered Regan a socialist...

There are probably a few hints of the truth in some other poll options, but these two had slightly more, so…

Come to think of it, I ought to have voted for the last option as well.
 
Obama Hates All White People: Any proof?

He is a Muslim: Yeah, and he was born in Kenya too :roll:

He isn't a citizen: 'nuff said

He Wants the Terrorists to Win: Which is why he sent more troops to squash them in Afghanistan.

He Wants to Take Away your Guns: I can imagine him wanting some more gun regulation, but he isn't going to take your guns away.

He is the Anti-Christ: Just as much as George Bush was.

He is a socialist: This is an interesting one. He undoubtedly put in place socialist regulation, but if you call him a socialist for that, then quite a lot of our presidents have been socialist. He has reacted to a lack of regulation, countering what put us in the financial meltdown in the first place, and he followed keynesian models when he approved the bailouts. So, in all, I'd say we would have to wait say a year, and see if he continues to increase regulation, and shift our economy to a socialist format. Until then, consider this an abstain.

SO if someone proposed the same rules and requirements for 1st amendment rights would you call that person a 1st amendment proponent? Would you say that individual was trying to preserve or take away your first amendment rights? Someone trying to impose the same rules like they got in Chicago for 2nd amendment rights is someone who wants to take away your guns.

I never said he hated all white people. It is however possible seeing how he did go to a anti-American racist church. Would someone who did not hate the gays or military go to Fred Phelp's church? Would someone who did not hate the military join code pink? Most people do not join groups whose views do not match their own.

LMAO sorry your example doesnt even make sense. Imposing more laws on the first amendment would be VERY different than requirements to own a gun because one is property and one is expression lol I hope you see how broken that logic is in reality. The logistics dont come close to even matching. He wants it harder and the current rules enforced, i have no problem with that with the amount of illegal guns that are out there. Not to mention like I said I dont worry about ANYBODY taking away my gun because the 2nd amendment isnt going anywhere in reality.

Still, just the fact that there are people who believe such nonsense bothers me, just like the fact that there are so many people who refuse to believe in evolution, for instance.

The ability of people to believe in things to which there is absolutely no proof and plenty of proof to the contrary always astounds me.

well i definitely agree but there idiots on both sides of the pond and in the middles, it just is what it is. Theres two people at my work that believe that obama hates all white people and I talk about with them and its hilarious because they can never give any good reasons they just say "thats how I feel" and I say why do you feel this way and they have nothing, they say "I can just tell" LMAO

oh well, what you gonna do, its not like extremist on any issue can be swayed

Most of the votes in the poll where made by nonmembers. At least one person chose every option. Don't take the results to mean much.

I think the problem with talk radio when it comes to both their most die hard supporters and their most vocal opposition is that they are taken too seriously and have their hyperbole taken at face value.

Frankly, your poll is no different than what they do, just the other way around. It takes heavily nuanced issues and tries and shoves them into one liners that are absolutely definitive. What do I believe?

I do not believe he hates all white people. I do believe that he has extremely strong beliefs that as a whole the white race has gained more prosperity then is "fair" by being discriminatory to minorities and as such it is his job, and the governments, to bring "fairness" back and to return proper balance and order back to those in the minority. Do I believe he "hates all" white people? Absolutely not. That's insanity. I do however he does hold some racial grudges and chips on his shoulder that influence the ways in which he thinks.

No, but again too nuanced. I believe he views terrorism far differently than how many on the opposite side see it. I think in large part he believes the terrorism is America's fault, much like rape would be a womans fault, because we "created" them and "angered" them through our actions. I think he believes diplomacy and changes in how he handles Israel and such will have more success and do more in regards to it than other things, which puts his stance at odds with what many Republicans view and makes it appear he's working counter to what needs to be done. I do not think he wants the terorrists to win, I just think he views the issue and the problem far differently than most Republicans and thus is going about it in a completely different manner.

I do believe he would like to take away a vast majority of peoples guns; indeed, he's voted to do just that with handguns while in Chicago. Other disdainful comments, like his "clinging to guns and bibles" comments doesn't help it. That said, I don't think he really CAN do it, realizes it'd be a difficult fight to do a lot of restrictions, and as such its more beneficial politically to mostly ignore the gun issue at the time. So while I think ultimately, if he was to be completely honest, he absolutely would love to get rid of guns, but it's too big of a problem to do politically so he won't bother.

I do not believe that. However I do think he wants America to function and operate in a way that is contrary to how I feel and think it should.

No, he's not a socialist, he's a liberal democrat. I think he has some socialist leanings and that socialist philosophy plays a part in his overall poltiical ideology, but I do not believe he is a socialist per the definition. I think people too often use hyperbole, thinking a similarity to it here or there somehow makes the whole.

Bill Clinton TALKED about doing all the destructive social policies but was smart enough to know that in the long run it was just hype...used to get reelected...and most of the stuff he signed passed by congress was actually designed to help the country. And he actually did a pretty decent job of balancing his ideology with his party's ideology and the 'right' things to do.
