THe way I read that is that we pretty much see eye-to-eye on social issues, but not on economic and perhaps defense/foreign policy issues.

These things are all BS anyway because modern the descriptions of these terms are meaningless nonsense.
Every one of them assumes that we should be thinking "federal" government instead of as a hierarchy.
How does someone like me answer a question about abortion or immigration when the choices don't include "All of the above if decided by the people of the particular state the law applies to and none of the above if enacted federally"?
They presume the validity of the false modern left-right dichotomy, which makes them meaningless.
