Let's operate under the assumption that, for argument's sake, they are. Nobody ever talks about a wall on our northern border.

Because we don't have a demonstrable problem with our northern border like we do with our southern border. If there was a provable problem there, I'm sure people would be talking about walls there too.

Also, the southern border is somewhat shorter, and thus the talk of walls is slightly more reasonable.

Slightly is right. The southern border is 1969 miles long. Plus, people can lean a tall ladder on the Mexico side and slide down a rope into the US. Build it taller and they will find a taller ladder. It's a waste of time and a blight upon the Rio Grande river area.

With all of the statements regarding Arizona's latest bill to try and control the influx of illegals into Arizona/America. I though it would be interesting to take America out of the equation and simple ask.

Is it ok to entry another country, no matter what the reason, illegally? A simple Yes / No and Why?

I voted No!. No one has a right to enter into another country without permission and following that countries laws.

No, it's not OK to enter in any country in violation of their laws. Everyone should make an effort to be proper and follow all laws - and just be decent about it.

I voted no, but if I were a poor Mexican I would definitely sneak into the country to find work.

If I was poor I'd do all things necessary and within my legal means to improve my life. Being poor gives no one the right to break any law.

People enter this country all the time legally - so it's not impossible. People just choose not to do it for a variety of personal reasons - but that is not the issue in question, of course.
