ramps!
umm...
umm...
INTJs are awesome. Seriously, my favorite personality type of all.
How ironic
Umm, I'm sorry, I believe she was talking about me.
You have the power!
I find this to be fascinating:
Researchers Find Differences In How The Brains Of Some Individuals Process The World Around Them
It refers to introverts as "highly sensitive", and says they make up one fifth of the population:
Just a few excerpts; it goes on to say that the highly sensitive had more brain activity answering a question, but took longer to answer.
The whole thing sounds as if it is personally describing me. I'm pretty much as introverted as someone could possibly be. I suspect that a political debate site would have more introverts than the general population, since it would attract deep thinkers.
So anyways: are you an introvert, extrovert, or somewhere in between?
Hey CC
Howcome we're all INTJs?!
I guess people are aware that the Myers Bigg test is based on Jung's personality types. What people may be less aware of is that Jung was also interested in Astrology and that they also are based on the elements in Astrology.
The Four Elements in Astrology - Fire, Earth, Air, Water
If out of curiosity anyone is interested in the relationship of their test to their astrological chart, you can get a free astrological chart and interpretation here

This is true. I have a book called "Birth Sign Psychotherapy" which purports that it may be important to use different psychotherapuetic techniques with folks with different birth signs, based on those personality types and needs. Though not written by Jung, it was inspired by his work.
Desire to socialize is also a function of self confidence. Testosterone will tend to increase a mans self confidence

Deep thinkers on this page and other political pages? What a joke. Most people on forums like this are fundamentalist creep, who just competes in uttering the ideals of the party they support and other mainstream political ideas pushed on them through the media.
There are certainly exceptions, but the masses are definetely not deep thinkers.
Agreed. Not a lot of deep thought displayed on this forum, and I've been around for many years now.
If forum members are deep thinkers, they disguise it well.
Perhaps, like me, they view this as a purely recreational exercise.
I have to say, I am gradually becoming less inclined to flesh out my posts. I find most people here overlook the things I say... maybe because I'm not that partisan, and I'm not from the U.S.
Look at the poll. Look at where a lot of us spend our time.
We are online, interacting in a virtual world.
Because this is virtual world, we must use intuition or sensation to understand the nuances of communication (hence the split between "N's" and "S's".
We are needing to think about responses as they do not happen instantaneously.
We discuss our positions on things, often in strong ways.
My guess is that we are here because of who we are. We are drawn to DP because of a consistent personality type. Now, that does not mean that those who do not fit into this "mold" are not drawn here. There are aspects of other personality types that can apply to DP and this form of communication, but if you look at the descriptors, DP attracts INTJ's and ISTJ's.
This will all be in my book.

I did not say everyone here was a deep thinker; just that places like this would attract deep thinkers.
Also, most people here are not "fundamentalist creep" (whatever that means), their ideas are not "pushed on them through the media", and this site is not made up of "the masses" in the first place.
