you can evade all you want but the fact remains, Obama wants to jack up taxes on the group that already pays a disproportionate amount of the taxes--far more than their fair share. Wealth isn't the basis of taxation (once again) it is income.

and I don't recall paying Payroll taxes-the employer does. If your contract says you make 90K a year what is taken from you in payroll taxes

Dude, I don't know how you get paid, but on my pay stub there's a box for payroll taxes (FICA, SS, Medicare/aid, etc). It's usually larger than my income tax withholding.

It is an income tax. It is based on income, but with an upper limit. It goes into the general fund.

The way I, and most people, get paid, it comes out of my check; the employer doesn't pay it.

I was going by what the employer pays

but SS is not supposed to be a tax according to our dem friends who started that scam-its forced savings. But you are right about that stuff.

most of that is not designed to fund general government operations.

really? we had a pretty good militar before we started having a confiscatory income tax rate. and arming ourselves is actually something the constitution actually authorizes.

I wonder how much taxes the federal government would "need" if the same federal government was restricted to actually obeying the tenth amendment.?
