Who is sick of hearing about Sarah Palin

Are you sick of hearing about Sarah Palin?

Well for me it is two things.
I tend not to be truly attracted to someone unless I like their personality. Also, I like thick (not fat) women.

Who am I to dispute what you find attractive

I don't know her personally but I guess I could claim that when I was single girls I wanted to sleep with were not necessarily ones I'd want to live with or father children by.

I'm sick of hearing about Sarah Palin for the blatant double standard that exists around her when compared to Obama on academic grounds and achievements.

It is taboo to call out a person who went to some underfunded school in the middle of nowhere, popped out kids the way TLC families do, was a cheap prom queen and is for most purposes culturally illiterate.

It is just fine to go after Obama for being well educated, not a redneck and going to a school most people in America wouldn't have the family connections or grades to get into.

Not being a redneck is a sin in this country.

I find this interesting because the libs always claim they are for the small guy and against "legacies" aristocrats, bluebloods but when it comes to their politicians they want those Ivy leaguers --even ones who got in under suspicious circumstances (HTF did Ted Kennedy get into UVA law school or even sit for the bar) and they really love intellectual nobodies who go to rich schools for stupid kids-like Pelosi and Sebellus (Trinity College-rich stupid catholic girls finishing school)

yet they bash someone who comes from a lower middle class family and has to go to public schools.

Palin certainly didn't have any affirmative action getting through college. That her father was a school administrator with several kids sort of guaranteed she wasn't going to a 50K a year school

I don't know which 'Libs' you're talking about but as far as I'm concerned, the 'little guy' is not just some farmer in Alabama or some snow pusher in Alaska. The proverbial 'little guy' as he is known in America now works in big cities and even holds a white collar job. 80% of this country lives in cities. Do you honestly think that the 20% that don't are the only 'little guys' in this country? No. Even lawyers are "little guys" in this country today. Putting aside your weird notion of what it means to be a 'little guy' nowadays:

A person going to an Ivy League school does not make them a blueblood anymore than having a cup of tea makes you British. What my post referred to - and I know you missed it because well you're not very good at extrapolation - was the American Right's near monopoly on ignorance.

This stronghold can be seen election after election. Electing somebody who's intelligence is demonstrated in their speeches, work etc is taboo. Electing a person who does not believe in mysticism, doesn't know how to use a plow and honestly could care less about the process that goes into growing livestock? Taboo.

While political movements of any ideology always attempt to defend a target demographic like 'the little guy', the political system demands people who know how it works to make any ideological demands happen.

And this last paragraph proves my point. Palin gets to university, it is to be commended and not looked down upon. It is to be commended. The son of a single mother gets to an Ivy League, it is the fault of Affirmative Action because we all know you're too scared to say that you that it is because he's - gasp - black. You're not making any relevant statements about your thoughts on race Mr. Silent Majority.

That is really interesting but trying to depict Obama as being disadvantaged is pathetic

Someon like Palin overcame much more than Obama yet he is the one who got affirmative action

I can tell you honestly that the chances of a white man getting into harvard law with a 3.2 or lower average from Columbia during the Era that Obama applied to law school is rather slim. Not one White Male with less than Magna Cum Laude in my class at Yale was accepted into harvard law. Not one. and those with Magna still were less likely to be admitted than rejected. At summa cum laude you finally had a better than even chance.

Obama didn't even make Honors at Columbia

After working with my college freshman son on how to get all his requirements done in order to graduate in four years I seriously ask how can someone like Palin go to 5 or 6 different colleges and graduate?

His particular major is very tight and no room for the "fluff" classes so one has to make certain he is getting the right sequence of classes. Forget help from college counselor as you have to be your child's advocate in getting the right classes. I have no idea how Palin was able to patch together classes from 6 colleges. Maybe she is a genius?

You should have no problem showing us the social advantages and how they helped him along the way.

I await for proof of any of this other than your words.

I love Sarah, even if her sole purpose in life is to piss off liberals.

Dumb bitch can't even tell time - her 15 minutes were up long ago.

If she cannot even win the popularity contest that is the SRLC, she is yesterday's trash.

I'm kinda sick of hearing about her mainly because she's come in 3rd place in both straw polls this year, Yet somehow she's the one getting all the attention as if she's winning all the debates. It's almost as if the media is pushing for her to become the winner of the Republican Primaries.

Since the media is socialist, and communist, to have Palin win the GOP primaries would be a dream come true; she would absolutely lose to Obama, because she would have no independents.

maybe you projecting one person's situation on someone else's is rather stupid

My roommate in Law school did the same thing-started at harvard, then to Ohio State, then to toledo, then to BGSU and back to Harvard. 6 years later he got into half of the top 8 law schools in the USA

Frankly I'd be glad to stop talking about her, if you liberals could leave the topic alone for one full day...

Hey now, don't blame me.

Hypocrisy, anyone?

As of now it looks that way but I can't say I'm 100% on that only because of the current state of our economy. If it continues to get better than he'll do fine, But if we have another crash then he might be in trouble.

Yeah, and it does seem to look like it'll be a double-dip recession.

I'm sick of hearing from her. Her shrill, screechy, ill-informed nastiness induces nausea.

That is pretty much the reaction her voice and lies have on me. Sure she can see Ruskieville from her bathroom window but she does not recognize the truth even when she trips over it.

are you saying he made honors?

try this dude

Obama's Lost Years - WSJ.com

We know what he was doing there: drinking, smoking pot, and snorting coke.
He's completely candid about all that in his autobiography, published in his late 20s, long before he ever ran for office.
Teachers and fellow students who knew him during that time, however (including more than three dozen interviewed for one New York Times article), have described him as "grounded, poised, and motivated", and claimed that he did not appear to be someone who had a drug problem, but rather someone who merely dabbled in recreational drug use.

I would like to hear more from her. I think her message is needed in America :usflag2:

We don't have to say he made honors; your source is saying that.

He didn't deserve to be there in the first place is the point I am making

you cannot justify his admissions based on what he did later

Clearly, Harvard thought differently. And clearly, they were correct.
