I think parents aren't speaking candidly enough with their kids. If there are parents on here who have children in late middle or high school, and haven't talked about oral sex, don't assume your children haven't been exposed to the concept if not the practice.

Anything that would dissociate the sex act from the procreative act is also morally reprehensible. First you have a man masturbating to deliver a sample, which is very undignified and sinful since the hand is not a reproductive organ. Then you have the sample being injected into the woman by a doctor or the woman herself, which is very undignified and sinful since that is what the father's penis was designed to do.

If a woman cannot get pregnant without the help of artificial insemination, then clearly she has failed her job as a woman. Woman were designed to have babies and if they can't accomplish that task through normal means, then they are failures and should be ashamed.

This is all simple teleology taken to its logical conclusion.

Herpes is a confusing STD and that's why we have such a rampant spread of Herpes HSV 1 and 2.

Most of the people on this board have Herpes 1. Some may show symptoms and others may not. A symptom of Herpes 1 is a cold sore/fever blister on your lip. The cause of Herpes 1 is still unknown. Most people are born with it and others catch it from their partner.

When a male partner has Herpes 1(cold sore) it can easily be transmitted into Herpes 2 if oral sex is involved. If a male with a cold sore performs oral sex on his female partner then that will infect her with Herpes HSV 2 which is the one you don't want. tTere's no cure for Herpes 1 or 2 but it can be treated with medications.

If a male who was Herpes free has sex with his Herpes 2 infected female partner then he would most likely be infected with Herpes 2 himself.

If a female has Herpes 1 (cold sore) and performs oral sex on her male partner then he would most likely be infected with Herpes 2. When Herpes 1 contacts the male or females genitals it will then turn into Herpes 2.

Chances are you already have the Herpes virus in you but it's yet to show signs or symptoms(cold sores). As soon as a cold sore forms you should immediately take care of it with over the counter medications(lip balm). The lip balm will shorten the span of the cold sore. If you touch the cold sore you need to wash your hands often and thoroughly. If you rub your eyes it can infect your cornea which would involve a painful surgery, and you do not want that cold sore to spread to your eyes. The surgery is painful and it's a bitch to cure. If a cold sore should take place on the lips you must baby it and treat it until the infection disappears.

They have now linked Parkinson disease with the herpes virus.

The Herpes virus is rampant because most people are unaware they have it and are ill informed on how to treat it.

Bad news- Chances are you currently have it or are going to be infected with either Herpes 1 or 2 in your lifetime. You me and everyone on this board.

Good news- It's not a life threatening disease but it is an annoyance when it spreads to the genital area(Herpes HSV 2)

Btw: Condemns are useless in protecting the male from Herpes HSV 2. The Herpes will still infect the skin area around the condemn.

It's a different strain of the virus that causes cold sores (herpes simplex 1).
Genital herpes is caused by HSV-2.
I was apparently born with HSV-1, since I can remember having a cold sore as young as three years old, and I'm fairly certain nobody had ever stuck their dick in my mouth at the time.
About 75% of the population is infected with HSV-1, which is highly contagious via kissing, drinking glasses, surfaces, etc, although only about 10% of the population has active virus at any given time. HSV-1 (and, I guess, genital herpes as well) tends to lie dormant in the nerve endings for years at a time and then become active and cause symptoms during times of stress or illness.

People can, however, get HSV1 in the genital region, and HSV2 in the mouth/throat region. And, HSV1 is generally transmitted by kissing or having close facial contact with someone who has HSV1.

I know, it's all my fault. That's why I keep my handy port-a-burqa in my purse at all times, ready to cover my shame in the event that any men approach. I wouldn't want to tempt them to sin.

The last thing on earth I want is for my 60-year-old parents to talk to me "candidly" about oral sex. I think I'd rather undergo another colonoscopy.

I don't see any urgent need to talk with kids about this. They can figure it out on their own. Though maybe mentioning the possible STDs would be a good idea... they do that in school already though.

I don't see how mutual masturbation isn't sex, but masturbation is. But then, sex is pretty hard to define. It's easy enough to know what an orgasm is and what it isn't... once you get into what's causing the orgasm, things get tricky. Vaginal is all everyone can agree to include as "sex".


It's the only "sex" that some posters here ever get.
