so tired of seeing her, of hearing about her, just plain tired of her period.

Same here. My friend just LOVES her. Thinks she would be a great president because she is Christian. :doh I want to drop kick his ass into the next State for being so shallow.

That is the same ploy Fred Phelps uses. Quite successful if you want to keep your nickname as moron.

Also, the KKK, and George Wallace, and Darth Vader, and Dr. Evil. She's just like those guys as well.

I appreciate her conservative values and I enjoy listening to her speeches. However, I wouldn't want her to be President. I dislike how she's campaigning for McCain when he's definitely not a conservative.

The press reacted to the stories that began coming out about her shortly after she was chosen as a VP candidate.

The press found stories to report about her after she was chosen as a VP candidate. They created the controversies, not reacted to them.

No way. It started when she opened her mouth and exposed herself to be nothing but soundbites.

I like Sarah Palin, I agree with a lot of her views and I'm glad she is willing to stand up and speak them out. It was my privilege to vote for her as my VP in the election. I think she is a woman of character and has endured many hateful and inappropriate attacks.

That being said, Palin should stop being so over the top with everything. She only has a minority base behind her, and she needs to establish that, and expand it before making desperate bids for offices outside her qualifications. If she wants to be successful, she should not run for President, and probably not even a Senator in the next few years. She needs to bide her time, and prepare the right way, like getting a proper education to back up her ideals.

 OK..... without being combative..... why do you think so? She isnt a independant. She isnt a part of the true Tea Bag Party. In fact i strongly feel she is a part of the Republican party that has gone undercover to bring converts from the Tea Bag Party over to the Republican Party.

I won't speak for Digs (nor will I ignore the validity of points raised by James),...

But for my two cents,... the more I see those who I perceive as my political enemies hating on Palin,... the more I'm drawn to her.

Is she perfect? No.

But neither am I.

Could've fooled me!

Being perfect. I thought you were.
Then again, I thought Sarah Palin was, too.

Ahhhh,...LOL

You are trying to get me to disclose all my flaws (of which there are many.)

But, I'm not gonna do it.

I think that's that appeals to people, that she isn't perfect and admits it. Without getting into other politicians, Palin doesn't have an Ivy League education, she doesn't have a big family name, all she has is what she's earned through her work in Alaska.

The thing with her is, to be successful in D.C., you need some of the things she has neglected to collect, like a proper education on how to work Congress, and judicial history, etc. Until she gains this knowledge, and some experience, she will be severely limited as a person and certainly as a politician, IMO.

She is in a unique situation.
Her celebrity status allows her to surround herself with sycophants who continually feed her ego, who assure her that she has no such limitations and needs no such thing.
She is in a position to shelter herself from criticism; when negative commentary does manage to reach her, she reacts by squalling like a pole-axed heifer and waving her mentally retarded son around.

In a way, she reminds me of Britney Spears, surrounded by "friends" who are actually on the payroll, whose job it is to shelter her from public opinion and tell her on an hourly basis that she's still a popular and beautiful young up-and-comer.

Yeah, and unless she stops that, she won't go anywhere. In truth, it just shows she really is a politician, as I'm sure plenty of others on The Hill do the same thing.
