Youtube, "name of movie Pt1" problem solved (I have no excuse for doing this im just a bad person)
On demand and Netflix. Love it.
I agree. I've had Netflix for over a year now, and though it sucks waiting for new movies to go from "Long wait" to available, I'm willing to wait... I'll just watch another movie in the mean time.
And once they added the Watch Instantly feature, I was hooked. Only down side is the Watch Instantly movies are usually old or weren't very popular. But you will occasionally find some great movies.
TV shows are where Watch Instantly becomes amazing. Tons of recent seasons for great TV series.
I used to rent DVDs but since most movies are so cheap to purchase and usually come out before they're available to rent, I just buy them all. If it's not worth it to own the movie, I probably don't want to waste my time renting it either.
My movie DVD collection is in the thousands and still growing.
Don't have cable but I like to stream movies to my computer. Have a 23" Wide screen HD monitor with 7.1 surround.
I like the mail to me DVD's for the TV.
So Netflix covers it all for one low price.
The best part is I don't have to wait for new movies to come to satellite or cable.
I hooked a 12 foot long S-cable from my computer to my 50" big screen LCD TV to watch Netflix Watch Instantly.. My computer has high quality sound so I use it for the sound. Works great.
Netflix is great. And cheap. It comes to less than a buck a movie.
No ability for VGA (sometimes laptops did not have VGA connection ports)? If I were you, I would go that route if possible from your computer.
The S cable works just fine and results in DVD quality picture off streaming Netflix.

HD is so impressive compared to a regular DVD quality. I put my HD monitor next to my regular monitor and the difference was jaw dropping.
