Youtube, "name of movie Pt1" problem solved (I have no excuse for doing this im just a bad person;))

We use Redbox and iControl/ movies on demand.

But we also go to the movie theater just about every weekend.
I really love seeing movies at the theater.
Tonight we're going to see that dragon thing.

I tend to watch everything on megavideo, hulu, or on the producing company's website.

Naughty naughty lol

Do you know if that is legal? (Uploading the videos... I'm assuming watching them is not specifically illegal)

I feel like I heard some kind of rule where people can't post more than a certain amount of a movie in one clip. So you could essentially post the entire movie in 10-20 minute clips. Don't quote me on that though.

I have watched one of these before, but it got annoying when parts of the movie were missing.

For movies: It comes on TV, I utorrent it on thepiratebay, or I see it with friends in the movies or over someone's house.

So, no renting for me.

On demand and Netflix. Love it.

I agree. I've had Netflix for over a year now, and though it sucks waiting for new movies to go from "Long wait" to available, I'm willing to wait... I'll just watch another movie in the mean time.

And once they added the Watch Instantly feature, I was hooked. Only down side is the Watch Instantly movies are usually old or weren't very popular. But you will occasionally find some great movies.

TV shows are where Watch Instantly becomes amazing. Tons of recent seasons for great TV series.

Try the classic "The Rockford Files" with James Garner on Watch Instantly. You can watch an entire season in a couple of weeks. I'm waiting for "Combat" with Vic Morrow and Mannix to go on Watch Instantly.

I used to rent DVDs but since most movies are so cheap to purchase and usually come out before they're available to rent, I just buy them all. If it's not worth it to own the movie, I probably don't want to waste my time renting it either.

My movie DVD collection is in the thousands and still growing.

What do you pay for a DVD on average?

Don't have cable but I like to stream movies to my computer. Have a 23" Wide screen HD monitor with 7.1 surround.

I like the mail to me DVD's for the TV.

So Netflix covers it all for one low price.

The best part is I don't have to wait for new movies to come to satellite or cable.

I hooked a 12 foot long S-cable from my computer to my 50" big screen LCD TV to watch Netflix Watch Instantly.. My computer has high quality sound so I use it for the sound. Works great.
Netflix is great. And cheap. It comes to less than a buck a movie.

I think I still have roughly 50 blu-ray titles I need to open.

No ability for VGA (sometimes laptops did not have VGA connection ports)? If I were you, I would go that route if possible from your computer.

other, I use www . tudou . com, or hulu, or the network's website, like abc

I don't watch that many movies, but the girlfriend uses Netflix and she seems to like it.

The S cable works just fine and results in DVD quality picture off streaming Netflix.

I download via torrent, or I borrow my friends' DVDs and rip them.

I have high standards when it comes to movies that I actually like. I won't pay for the majority that are just hollywood fodder.

Typically I receive a greater experience via VGA/DVI when outputting to our television even with standard definition content. But if it works for you, that's good. Sometimes people just don't know they can get a better connection in there, and that's all I was trying to figure out there.

HD is so impressive compared to a regular DVD quality. I put my HD monitor next to my regular monitor and the difference was jaw dropping.

Ha, it can be. But there are some films that were just filmed poorly. 28 Days Later comes to mind. He filmed that with a DV camera I think, and the results became apparent right away. Only in the last five minutes did he film in 35 mm.
