How do you feel about the time change?

  • It should be opposite, with Daylight Saving Time in winter, not summer

Daylight Saving (no "S") Time is ridiculous. We're all just lying to ourselves about what time it really is. And Ben Franklin proposed it as a joke -- it was actually a busybody named George Vernon Hudson who invented it because he thought it was horrible that people were actually sleeping instead of doing something productive.

It's a scam masquerading as an energy policy.

Far from saving energy, we actually use more. We stay out later because of the extra hour of daylight.

Farmers hate daylight saving time; just try doing your chores in the dark.

The whole thing is a great big lie.

Actually, farmers don't need clocks. They can get up with the crow of the ****, and work until dusk.

Actually, farmers' children have chores that need doing before they go to school and it's dark during daylight saving time. Farmers are not isolated from society as a whole. Daylight saving time is just one more burden for them.

Good point. Also, modern farmers often have day jobs, or their wives do.

Well you know me. I'm just so grateful in the fall to have that extra hour to help the poor and elderly who need the extra love and attention. ;)

It annoys me. I wish we could just choose one or the other, doesn't matter which to me, and stick with it.

I do not like anything that stops the Dark

I said always Daylight Savings Time. I'd prefer more daylight during the afternoon hours. It's was still light out at 7:30PM after starting DLST... horray for sun!

It's ridiculous and annoying, especially when someone as myself already has issues sleeping at night. It's vital for me to get as much sleep as I can get, and 5 hours is fantastic!
