Here's the story...
Should a woman be charged with a felony for this?

Woman Charged for Squirting Breast Milk at Deputy - Incredible Health - FOXNews.com

A Kentucky woman was charged with assault after she allegedly squirted breast milk into the face of a deputy, sparking online debate Sunday in the local media.

Toni Tramel, 31, was arrested Thursday for public intoxication in Owensboro, WYMT-TV reported, but it is what she did next which has attracted headlines.

As Tramel changed into an inmate uniform, she squirted a stream of breast milk into the face of the female deputy watching over her.

A press release from the Daviess County, Kentucky, Detention Center, said that after the deputy decontaminated herself from the "bio-hazard", Tramel was charged with third degree assault.

While the public drunkenness was merely a misdemeanor offense, the assault is a felony charge and a US$10,000 bond was set.

Cops lately have had a history of going overboard with things. Especially in regards to tasering anything that moves or looks at them funny. But I can't see how this could be construed as assault, just stupidity.

Seriously, the police need to calm the eff down.

I'm going to need to see visual evidence before I weigh in on this. :2razz:

idiots..........

Im even more convinced the world is doomed.

yep, just as spitting should be a felony. We need to stop this ind of stuff, and making it a felony will make people think. I don't know how cops restrain from bashing people's heads in after this kind of stuff. Some dude spits in my face and I'd be tempted to handcuff his hands behind his back to his genitals, lol.

I have zero problems with this charge. Being shot in the eye with breast milk would hurt.

Also: GROSS.

I'd be more than willing to take one for the team in order to find out. :D

That's such a no no. When you're drunk and a cop stops you you say nothing, never mind squirt breast milk at him! She deserves whatever happens.

Remember that Friends episode where Ross is completely freaked out about breast milk? ;)

Not "assault"...but ewwww.

It's sexual assualt and indecent exposure. The person convicted should be punished and registered as a sex offender for life.

Now there's a reasonable answer! :2wave:

At least the cop didn't get squirted with vaginal juices.

The real issue is that breast milk can carry HIV, and now the victim has to get an HIV test, and spend the intervening time worrying about what if they're infected. If she is infected, the assailant should be charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

How's that for comical?

Hmm public intoxication, lactating?

Poor kid at home, at all levels.

That's an important point, as humorous as the situation sounds. I'm sure it's not humorous for the cop.

And the woman should be held in custody until those test results are in.

Testing her for HIV would expedite the process, since the question of the victim being infected isn't relevant. People who shoot bullets at others are charged with assualt with a deadly weapon even when they miss, and a person with HIV could be similarly charged even if the victim is lucky and not infected.

And they are

I remember a few charges being laid on HIV positive people for spitting on Police officers

I also know of a few cases of HIV positive men being charged and convicted of murder for intentionally spreading Aids by having unprotected sex without telling their partner of their status

I'm with IT. Depends upon the tit.

Seriously, I believe there are many pathogens that can be transmitted through breast milk. It could have been a major problem for the cop.

Exactly. Just like spitting on a person. Exchange of bodily fluids isn't somethng to be taken lightly.

Only if the squirting is done by a man. As for indecent exposure, WTF? How puritanical do you have to be to interpret breast feeding as indecent exposure?

It is an effort at being intentionally inflammatory. As usual.

Who said anything about breast feeding?

It wasn't indecent exposure.
