[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FwAugbtR4E"]YouTube- Taco Truck Takedown: Why is the LAPD hassling food carts?[/ame]

:smash:

I picked other. I do not think it may necessarily be the police but those in charge of the police and the food police who have a problem with these taco trucks(we called them gut trucks in the Army). A mobile food place that sells bacon wrapped hotdogs, tacos and other food sounds like it would a thorn in the side of people who want to dictate what you can eat and limit where fast food places can be built.

If it's not licensed, they are doing their job......;)

In my Army, we called it a roach coach.

Just this once, I agree with Partisan. The cops are protecting the community from untrained unsafe food handlers. There's a similar problem in London, with itinerant hot dog sellers, selling from a portable trolley. You see and smell the hot dogs and onions, but not underneath, where the filthy gas bottle powering the hotplate is stored, with a greasy box of elderly unrefrigerated precooked sausages balanced on top of it. Food poisoning in a bun. They tend to work late evenings, as the pubs empty out, so the diners are none too observant.

The people in the video about a minute and 17 seconds into the video state that they have a variety of required permits and licenses.

I won't waste 1:17 at a taco truck, much less waste 1:17 watching a video about one...SORRY.....:2razz:
