False teeth and glasses are contrary to "god's plan", if you're discussing genetics.

Strictly speaking, clothes are a violation, too.

It would be contrary to the natural evolutionary process but that really doesn't mean much. Evolution happens, that doesn't mean it's intrinsically good.

Would Gene-Engineering Humans be contrary to "God's Plan" or "Evolution?"

By this I mean, if we humans develop the ability to manipulate our own Genes/DNA to the point that we can make changes (for good or bad), would this be contrary to any given arbitrary "Devine Entity Plan" or "Natural Evolutionary Process?"

It seems to me that it could be, in the first case, simply part of said plan, or in the second case, part of the "Evolutionary Process."

Thoughts?

Conclusion. No. Thoughts yes..

We have to manipulate our genes and DNA in order to compete with machines in the future. If not humans will become irrelevant and machines will be the next step of evolution and humans just be remembered as a pre-phase of machines.
