Well you failed because the Democratic plan only cuts waste, while the GOP plan cuts benefits.

But at the same time, the Democrats hand out tons of pork, which they had to do to get the bill to pass. Thats probably the biggest downside of the healthcare bill, it has more crap stuck to it then the stimulus package.

The republicans can't cut anything............they are not in power.the dems are........In the dems bill there is a 500 million cut in medicare...........what ****ing part of that do you not understand???????????

I was only rebutting NP's claim that Democrat plan cut Medicare benefits, whereas in actuality, it is the GOP plan that cuts benefits.

I never made the claim they could. I merely disproved your claim that the Democrats were planning to cut benefits to SS/Medicare. Their proposal was to cut 500 million in waste from Medicaid by moving the management of the Advantage Program to the government, rather paying private insurance to manage it, saving 500 million in waste. Are you opposed to cutting waste from government programs?

The GOP's proposed alternate budget that Congressman Ryan prepared however, as I documented, cuts benefits in SS/Medicare/Medicaid.
Are you in favor of cutting benefits?

NOOO, BUT THE DEMOCRATS WANT TO CUT MEDICARE!!!!! IT DOESN'T MATTER THAT THEY'RE ONLY CUTTING WASTE AND THAT IF THE REPUBLICANS WERE IN CHARGE THEY'D TRY TO SLASH BENEFITS!!!!

True and do you know why?

She was never convicted, so no proof needed :2wave:

Then calling them bogus is... bogus. As far as we know they were absolutely credible. :2wave:

I agree with most but not all of what you said. No in congress will give Hawkings any problems. I think she could be a candidate for something in 2012 but not sure about Prez.
Maybe "official look-out for Putin" She could sit in a fire watch type tower with binoculars and a radio. I'd vote for her.

It would be nice to carry on a conversation. Would you guys quit egging on Granny, I mean poopeye?

I largely agree with her foreign policy decisions, I strongly agree with her energy positions, I agree with her when it comes to abortion as well as other social issues. Really the main thing I don't think I agree with her on would be health care reform, other then that I think she is a great candidate with great ideals.
What are her foreign policy decisions that you agree with?
What are her energy policy decisions that you agree with?
Besides abortion, what are her social policy decisions that you agree with?

She doesn't just speak against things.
You must have meant things other than anything democrats are for.

She is in favor of energy independence and speaks of a future where we have oil, natural gas, and an ongoing pursuit of renewable energy.
How is it possible in her future to have oil and natural gas once they've run out?
What is her solution to energy independence?
What are her ideas on renewable energy and what pursuit does she favor?

She is also in favor of lowering taxes and giving more power to the states.
How low does she think should taxes be and what's her plan run government on less and less taxes?
What does she mean by 'giving more power to the states'?

Plus her record has proven that she is strongly against political corruption, even within her own party.
You mean because she bashed other repubs in a primary? That's not really being against corruption. What else is on her "proven record" against political corruption?

Right now she is speaking against things because what is being proposed by congress and the Obama administration is garbage.
But I thought you said she doesn't simply speak against things. Oh yeah, except for anything Democratic.

Someone needs to speak out against the stuff Obama wants to do, is it wrong to do so? Is it wrong to be a nay sayer when it is the wisest decision? One thing I really agree with her on is this statement
Who says it's the wisest decision? You? OK.

Palin has articulated policy, most notably why we should drill her and drill now for energy and use coal and natural gas until we have renewable energy.
Really? can you quote that policy?

She has talked about the dangers of what the current administration is doing as well, have you ever heard her speeches?
Yes, and she is just an attack dog.

Sure she stands behind the conservative ideology, but she also explains why it is best (in her opinion) and why the current policies are not what is best. Besides, someone can give reasons for their policy but that doesn't mean it's correct or will be what is best.
:2wave:

Obama kept trying to scare America into passing his stimulus bill, making promises like unemployment will not rise beyond 8% and other lies...
That was Bush's policy. THe unemployment rate was not a lie. A lie is saying something you know isn't true. Nobel Prize winning economists predicted it wouldn't go higher than 8% but we found out that Bush's "Great Recession" was worse than we thought.

If you are wanting to know her stances on things here is a good site Sarah Palin on the Issues
I'd prefer to debate with you and not some website.

I think the left and the media treat her very differently than they do other idiot politicians. That said, I do not support her at all. She's probably a nice lady but she had no business being in a position of global authority.

Al Gore actually did win. :2wave:

When he ran for Senator.

He lost the election for President.

If the boob had won his own homestate, he'd have won the election.

But he didn't win Tennessee, and he didn't win Floriduh! either.

If he became president, he would have had to contend with all the problems Bush got instead. Rather then becoming president, Gore got an emmy, a nobel peace prize and another prize/award which I can't quite remember.

Yeah, I'd say he won, at least in relation to what he would have gotten.

Because they had to get the votes for the bill. And to do that, they hand out pork to the appropriate districts.
Because democrat politicians, as a party, are unable to effectively counter the republican fear machine. I don't know if it has something to do with being a democratic politician or if it's the nature of fear.

Save it for the conspiracy theory forum.:2wave:

I never said he won the presidency. I said "he won". :rofl

You don't believe partisan rags on either side............

Hey I see you got Payton as your avatar.........Did you know he is a hard core conservative.........Myst be tough for a lefty like you to like him...........:rofl

Unlike you, Navy, I don't put people into little boxes based on their political leanings. Come to think of it, my closest friends agree more with you on most issues. The diff is they see the whole picture. i.e. They like what Palin does to get people on board with Republicans but, they hate that she refuses to educate herself and is going for the easy hit: the tea party whackos. And they do not think she will win any national election. We have some very "interesting" chats.

By the by, it's "Peyton". "Payton" is the Saints coach.

Your tag line tells it all about you my friend.......You can run but you can't hide....

Al Gore actually did win. :2wave:

Gore was a joke...Gore actually lost his own state in a presidential election...They are the people who actually know him.....If he would have won there we would have never heard of Florida...

No such thing as bad PR, evidently.

No, I don't support her.
I did when she first came out on the scene, but now I wish she'd just go away. I, apparently, hadn't taken the time to really figure out what I believed in and what I didn't. After she was nominated I became more interested in politics and realize that my republican label didn't suit me, so I ripped it off and left it all in the dust.

Now this is an interesting response. So from the reaction you describe I assume Palin angered you enough so as to disgust you with the entire party? Not just disatisfaction, but disgust/anger?

What is interesting is that you would be angered by an under-qualified person seeking high office and gaining a base, but not the President who is proving his own lack of qualifications and speaks in circles, but sports a better presentation.

I'm not sure what kind of support the poll is referring to so I didn't vote. I support what appear to be Palin's basic values and policies, but I do not support her for President or VP.
