Which girls name sounds the best?

No, I'm not going to be a father. My step-sister had a baby girl and that got me thinking about names. I thought of a few I definitely like. Now I'm thinking I might write a short story with a girl of ___________ name. Can you help?

If you've read a few books you might realize where a few of the ideas for names came from, actually.

I named my daughter Caitlin, after Dylan Thomas's wife

Ps Emlyn is a Welsh boys name, one of my favorite LFC football player was Emlyn Hughes aka Crazy Horse

Of the ones you listed, I like Adrien best.

Oh, and I didn't get "Laila" from DP's Laila. xD

From the list of names above, it will have to be Laila, hands down.

I like Laila. I knew a girl with that name when I was in grade school. She was very smart. It's Persian I think.

Ok what ever name you go with from that list, "Adrian" will condemn her to a life of bad Silvester Stallone impersonations.

I like Laila...brings a feeling of calm and flowing beauty.

Laila is by far my favorite among the choices. I'm also partial to Elise, don't know the origin of the name, but being a musician and loving classical music, if I have a daughter I would name her Elise in tribute to Beethoven's Fur Elise.

out of those choices, its laila, however my favourite girls name is eleanor

Sorry,I don't really dig any of those names.

Out of the ones you listed, I like Laila the best, but I'm really not all that fond of any of them.

Laila is the only one that I like.

There should be no confusion about how to pronounce a name. Laila works.

From the poll options, I think Laila is the best choice.

there are always a few new names to come along, for the trendy set. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCdmiZyyGjQ"]YouTube- Top 60 Ghetto Black Names[/ame]

My favorite girl name is Penelope

I like Adrien and Ayden the best. I'm probably partial to Ayden because it's quite similar to Hayden which is what I want to name a boy if I ever have one.

Ayden is the anglicised version of Aodhan, a gaelic boys name meaning "little fire"

You may want to consider the abbreviations the kid's friends will use.

One of the prettiest and most beautiful pieces of music ever written by man.
Nothing close today, sadly.
Adrian is a man's name, there are different spellings for the woman,Adrien for one.
Worry not about the bad impersonations, that is all they are.:spin:

Who posted, that if you want to be sure of a name, go to the door, and scream it a few times. I can sure relate to that one.

"Laila" will condemn her to a life of perpetual Eric Clapton.

I hate all those names go for Luz.
