What do you all think? The guy was a Cosmo centerfold. That might be an asset with the ladies. He hasn't let himself go, so he probably still appeals to some of them. Women go for a nice looking guy, especially if he has other good qualities.

I don't think that is a negative for him. What effect does his sex appeal have on voters?

It's a net of no gain, since Martha Coakley's lack of penis probably swayed just as many feminism-minded females, if not more.

The lack of replies tells you that women don't put the same amt of emphasis on looks as men do.

Yeah, but her voice drove away all those that were swayed by her non penisness. I mean I was at one of her speeches and I do fairly well with ignoring women when I do not want to hear them, but this woman's voice just could not be ignored it was so terrible.

 Yes, Scott Brown's sex appeal helps him with the female voters.

I don't know how much it helped him.. but he is easy on the eyes. :)

Yes because women are obviously too stupid to vote with their minds.

I use the cosmo spread as my avatar because I think it's funny as hell that conservatives are suppose to be offended by a photo session that took place nearly 30 years ago. I give him a lot of credit for not caring about it. In fact, I think he's even joked that he should do a spread for AARP soon.

Is he hot? Hellzyeah! Did I throw my support behind him because of that? Absolutely not.

At least he looks like he may live past one term as opposed to some of the other old dinosaurs in the party.

It has no bearing on me personally, but that may be due to my age and what I look for in a political candidate. If it really is to his advantage, that doesn't say much for the female voters and their ability to look at character issues rather than face value.

lizzie. It's about more than the face. Have you SEEN the cosmo spread?

Besides, Coakley sucked wand. She went on freaking vacation during a month and half long campaign !!!!! Sorry, no way I'd vote for that.

 Point taken.;)
It still wouldn't have anything to do with my vote.

fair 'nuf.

Meanwhile .... he was on ABC's This Week this morning. :2dancing: He was cuter in '82 , but he still has a full head of hair and stuff.

Sex appeal helps any politician, regardless of gender.

He does nothing for me in reguards to sex appeal. Nothing!:3oops:

I will admit that Obamas good looks did not hurt him in reguards to getting my vote but it did not factor into my vote. I just saw it a plus that he is easy on the eyes.

Obama is the best looking person in politics!! Not to mention best looking Prez our country has had the pleasure of having. JFK would be 2nd.

Are you sure you don't have the hots for Martin Van Buren?

I don't know if it helps, but I don't see how it could hurt. ;)

Now, if it were a woman, it'd be the other way around of course.

Brown/Palin 2012?

I can definitely see this happening.

Me too. Not that I would vote that way but could see it.

How about a Brown/Huckabee ticket?

With my friends, it's the conservative women who are giving them the most trouble. Bachman and Palin. I joked around that if those two did a Playboy spread, half of the population would demand that they be in the White House on the same ticket.

Huckabee wears his religion on his sleeve. I think that would hurt their chances with independents and moderates.
