Here's Coakley fishing for votes at what was supposed to be a non-political tribute to MLK. She uses the word "dream" at least ten times throughout her utterly pathetic speech:

Personally, I think it might be better if anyone except a democrat won the seat.

I don't like the idea of certian seats being "owned" by one party or another.

It's about F******G time, enough of the dynasty crap....
Brown put one reporter in his place when he said, "It's the people's seat, not Ted Kennedy's.....
That seat would be empty if he had not changed the law back again before he croaked, after he changed it to suit him the first time, the epitome in hypocrasy....
The whole Caroline Kennedy thing made me puke as well....
A senate seat should not be an entitlement.....
Hopefully, a win will kill the folly of this health care crap, unless they drag their feet on certification.....:(
It's time for Taxachusetts to wake from it's Kool Aide induced stupor....;)

That was just cutsey politrical hyperbole !!! Good one, but cutsey!!!

The people in that district voted for a stinking liberal rat for how many years/decades? I do not see it changing just because one dies. If a republican wins that district it will most likely be a Rino who will jump on board the socialized medicine train just like the majority of other liberals have.
Don't forget that every single day, people who voted for Kennedy die, and people who never did come of age. Demographics change.

It's too close to me to call.

Nope, that is what my gut says, no exaggeration at all......;)
I'm tired of 'status quo', especially from any kind of perceived entitlement.....:(

My crystal ball is in the shop getting calibrated but it is looking good for the conservative right now. It will all come down to who turns out.

I'm really surprised. I thought Massachusetts was solidly Democratic. It seems almost a slap in the face to Kennedy for his long held seat to go to his rivals.

Mitt Romney their former governor was a republican wasn't he?

I think people are very fed up with what they learned "Hope", "Change" and "Unity" were about when defined by actions.

That the MA seat is a hot race shows the level of pissedoffedness.

As per HIS definitions, it seems a large portion of the country wants Obama to fail.

.

Me thinks you think in ways that justify your partisanship and not necessarily anything factual.

Yeah, many people have changed their minds about change.;)

No they've stayed the same. Those who opposed Obama from the get go are still whinning about his change slogan.

And arnold schwarzenegger is republican gov. of california (though he doesn't act so much like it)

not sure how that stuff happens. Been wondering myself.

Oh, maybe because exec. and legislative branches have different voting patterns in state elections (and for some reason not in national) due to...?

Please, someone enlighten me.

Why the hell is Obama going to campaign in Mass.? Doesn't he have more important crap to do than trying to get someone elected? He's done this several times already this year.

He's campaigned for:

Jon Corzine for gov of NJ.
Christopher Dodd for senator of Conn. (even raising 1mil in campaign money for Dodd)
Creigh Deeds for virginia.

Think I'm going to add a new sig line....

Where have you been? They all do this. Bush campaigned for others too. In this case Obama's Health care reform may be on the line as in if Brown wins the dems voting advantage is over.

Obama is toast regardless of what happens tomorrow. He has made too many mistakes and shown his true colors. The cat is out of the bag and the mad effort by the libs to force this travesty of a health care bill, with all its bribes and unfair portions, is destroying the liberal party. They did it to themselves.

Don't ask me. Obama carried my home state of Indiana. I would thought hell would have frozen over first. The last dem pres candidate to carry the state was Kennedy in 1960!

We've also had democratic governors even though my state is about as red as it gets.

If she wins, they will scream about the people still wanting the Hope and Change Express.

If he wins, the gauntlet will have been dropped. Obama will very much be in jeopardy of being a lame duck after one year. One year.

A Republican taking over from Talimore Ted.

The end of Obama, and the end of the Kennedy's.

I'm Hoping (LOL) like many in the nation, for a good riddance story.

I don't live in Mass, so I don't care who wins.

...

Kennedy did not win Indiana in 1960.

Johnson won it in 1964:

Obama also took my original home state of Virginia
and my present home state of North Carolina, both
of which usually vote Republican.

IMO years of financial recklessness have led to critical
erosion of the Republican base. (Yes, I know the
Democrats share responsibility for the our catastrophic
finanaces, but the Republicans deserve most of the
blame for having dominated Congress for almost all
of 12 years, and having the Presidency to boot for
eight of those years)

The Republican party now consists mostly of small-town,
small-state caucasian evengelicals and Wall Street douchepimps.

It might get Indiana back in the forseeable future,
but it has shot its wad nationally for a generation.

It's not a local race; it's national. Healthcare is on the line. Obama is on the line. He could be a lame duck after one year.

This has the making of the Political Jonestown Massacre.

Kool-Aid set before the Democrat Leadership, and the party leadership drank themselves, and party to death.

It's not only Coakley, it's the overbearing nature of Democrats and the nature they've thumbed their Kollectiv noses at the country. Bribing politicians for their healthcare vote.

Then there is Obama. He sold himself as a Uniter, and has behaved as anything but. He's not the one the people were waiting for... and it's showing in MA with Talamore Ted's former drinking post being up for grabs.

Turn out the lights... the party's over.
