There is an old saying, and it's true. If you give up your liberty for safety, soon you will have none. I too have witnessed these bully boys and their antics. They seem to love to pick out old gray haired people. They singled me out because I looked to fit for an old guy. Their words, too. Then the guy in Detroit said I didn't talk like I was from Detroit. Hell, he didn't even sound like he was American, more like the mideast. Being from the south, I don't talk like I'm from Detroit. Duh!
Being in the military I got used to bully boys (well actually they were usually minorities or women with a new found power) so I let it go in one ear and out the other. However there are ways to deal with them. Ask for their name (It's usually get's their attention), and when you get back home send a terse letter to their supervisor. I've gotten people fired this way before in another capacity. Typically if they have an attitude you're not the only one and if complaints form a pattern there may be repercussions. If enough people complain we can get rid of the low performing turds.
