Just curious as to you opinion about this. Visible multiple choice vote.

Dav and Jamesrage.. This is a multiple vote poll.. You only selected "the people(I read the other options)"..

My question is this. Did you really read the other options? & Are you really so naive?

Are you talking who it should serve, or who is serves as it is?

it is supposed to be for the people

Its obvious that you have a hatred for our system, Max, the sooner you live up to this, the better - for your peace of mind and happiness.
Our political system is far from perfect, reform is necessary, we simply need many more Americans to care and to participate.
No vote...
If your nation is as corrupt and biased as the poll selections....:3oops:

it is supposed to be for the people

The U.S. 1% is who it serves.

A minority of the people vote and a minority of those actively participate, and judging from the town hall debacles, a minority of those know how to participate effectively and properly...

The reform that I'd love to see is:
no more 2nd,3rd languages,
no more small print
no more propaganda.
taxpayer paid campaigns, but very limited (low priority).

Cynicism is easy, but it does not make you particularly right. There are corrupt politicians, and politicians who are just party hacks, but overall the government does serve us, the people.

The American political system is supposed to serve the people. What is so naive about that?

Is it open to corruption and all that other crap on your list? Yes it is, but it still doesn't change the fact it is supposed to serve the people.

He is just pissed that people are voting that way.

The people, Corporate America, Themselves, and the Nation. We have corrupt politicians, and some that want to serve the people of the united states.

Am I so naive as to realize that the American system, despite its many flaws, has helped make the U.S. the greatest country on Earth? Yes.

The U.S. government is probably one of the most corrupt along the lines of the EU and the rest of the 1st world nations.

#18 (tied with Japan and Belgium)

We could be better. But we're still better than most, and pretty much tied with most of the 1st world.

 you and your polls/posts, always a goooood time...You have quite the agenda Mr. Zeebra. You should have a radio show like Alex Jones or something.

If by "serve" you could possibly mean "affect" then I picked several, including "the people."

Because the government does, sometimes, serve the people in a good way, but other things in a bad way.

it serves simply to perpetuate itself, by whatever means necessary.

How can our government serve us while they rob our children every day to buy the next election?

Y'all keep reelecting them. They must be doing what the majority of you want. ;)

Well, Hitler got a good following too.

Oh-BaH-MaH (say it with soul) has only proven that a devil can capture a nation regardless of what he does with his articulate ability to speak and fancy catchy slogans.

He showed the nation what a bunch of god damned fools Americans can be.

The American political system serves the Devil. We are the great satan afterall.

The american political system serves the people of the nation. It also serves a lot of other interests as well.

They serve the new aristocracy. The exceedingly rich and corporate moguls. They've got us bouncing between two parties which aren't much different, bamboozled into thinking that it does some good. Meanwhile, they sit back knowing their power is safe and making sure that their buddies get money. Just look at what happened with the bailouts and such under Obama. Nothing more than appeasing the aristocracy.
