Easy and simple poll.

Did you go shopping on Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving)?

I plan on opening my doors to those who do.

It's a gate, actually, but it suffices.

I bought a week's supply of frozen food on Wednesday night. I don't intend to go anywhere but the gym or my girlfriends' houses until after this weekend is over.

I did technically "shop" online earlier this morning, but it had nothing to do with the holiday.

Hell no and I would not be caught dead at a retail establishment on Black Friday!

I hate crowds, so no.

Yep, I participated from the comfort of my chair

This is the first year I didn't go out; and that's because the ads sucked! Really poor deals. So I kept most the money I had set aside.

I didn't think I would, but holy cow did I ever! I started online early this morning, went to Best Buy and Walmart, then came back and ordered more online.

I think I ordered 12 Bluray titles online through Amazon and Walmart.

Then I purchased......14 Bluray titles through Best Buy and Walmart at location.

Then I also purchased Fallout 3-the standard copy w/ Expansion packs in separate purchase for a grand total of 40 bucks for the 360 at Best Buy. I was perhaps thinking of grabbing it for my lonely PS3, but 60 freaking bucks for the Game of the Year edition or 20 only the the std. game w/ no option to buy the packs in-store? F-that.

Amazing!
No-one here yet participates in this door-busting madness, including me.
And yes! I do know what "Black Friday" is.
On-line shopping works for me, thus far.

Don't jump to conclusions. Those taking part in Black Friday are probably not here to vote yet, still being at the stores.

I'm on my way to Target but I had to take a detour by the bar for some conditioning.

Ha-wrong!

I did both online and real life. And because of what I was chasing after, I didn't even need to chase or worry about crushing a 4 year old girl against the wall.

No, I've never done that but maybe once and I couldn't figure out why people do that after that. I'd rather relax

Not a chance, we have a tradition of not leaving the house at all the entire weekend after Thanksgiving to avoid the idiots.

Who needs shopping when there's a full lineup of college football on?

I agree with the Rabbit. There was nothing tantalizing enough to go out for this am.

Shopping is a sport to me. Black Friday is like the finals. You do it well or you get eaten alive. I usually scour the ads ahead of time and plan exactly what/when I will hit. I don't wait for the stores to open. I arrive just as they've opened ... once the trampling line has pushed through. If you've got a buddy, one stays in line at the register while the other maneuvers through the store. I tend to go alone because it's serious work, and I don't want to be side tracked.

I'm usually done just as the sun is coming up, and I come home to breakfast on the table. It's a blast!

I just didn't have it in me this year. I'd already finished my Christmas shopping, and there's nothing I really want for myself right now. But I have been watching the deals online (wait for Cyber Monday) just in case.

uh, no.
I'm still in my Pj's and slippers with dried cranberry sauce stuck to my beard.

Had a co-worker show up one morning with oatmeal in his mustache....
turns out it wasn't oatmeal....

I don't shop on Black Friday, but I did have to drive into the nearest town for a few necessities. I dreaded doing so because the smallish town (around 25,000) is usually congested with traffic from the day after Thanksgiving until Christmas is over. I was pleasantly surprised that the traffic was manageable. I do, however, wonder if that fact does not bode well for local retailers.

I'm a guy. (Hate Shopping)

I'm an introvert. (Hate Crowds.)

What there isn't to like about it. ;)

:unsure13: I want to ask, but I'm not sure I want to know the answer.

He blew his nose, didn't wipe his mustache properly....no telling how long it had been there....:2razz:

Parking lots in Logan, Utah were full. Looks like it might be a good year for our part of the country...
