as far as amphetamines vs tomatoes - a little amphetamines when you're driving drunk can make the difference between getting home and spending the night in jail for falling asleep behind the wheel and driving into a wall.
we do ? .........
J If anyone is a damned teenager its you and the other “liberals” who are so deadly afraid of individual freedom and responsibility that you’ll perpetuate the failed and unjust statist policies of the past.
I have the same concern about partisan, party-loyalists, the vast majority of which are conservative or liberal, but you don't see me going around making rude and baseless blanket statements about either ideology…
there is one huge difference. christian fundamentalists are brought up as such from early childhood. they are brainwashed since before their brain is even developed.
i accepted libertarianism when i was already a college graduate after already having been exposed to other ideologies including communism ( i grew up in the soviet union ). it wasn't forced on me by parents or teachers. i expended a considerable amount of energy to FIND IT for myself.
i kept rejecting the ideologies that were being pushed on me because they didn't fit with either evidence or logic. i kept looking for something that was true and with Libertarianism i finally found it.
OK, i declare victory.

I would disagree with your point # 5 concerning religious principles and our leaders. Supposedly, god told GWB to go to war, he was obviously led by religious principles. Whether we as the American people actually agree with those principles is the issue that is debatable.
can you define *obviously* for me ?
From Merriam-Webster
Main Entry: ob·vi·ous·ly
Pronunciation: \-lē\
Function: adverb
Date: 1638
1 : in an obvious manner <showed his anger obviously>
2 : as is plainly evident <obviously, something is wrong>
how is it plainly evident that god told him to help people of iraq and protect america ? were you THERE when god was talking to him ?
i think what is plainly evident is that both bush and cheney were in the oil business before they were in the white house.
