Again, you're operating under the premise that I am not actively trying to do this.

Trying and succeeding are two very different things. While I admire your attempt, I don't hold out much hope for your success. That's not a reflection on your effort, but on the American people's willingness to be led around by the nose.

It seems we agree. I doubt that my push for "political responsibility," if you will, within my limited sphere of influence will make any form of major impact on America as a whole. I just try to live by these words:

“Be the change you want to see in the world.” - Gandhi

Why is that? I've got no problem with a thousand dead martyrs. It's certainly better than a thousand living slimebags we've got to feed.

If we kill them, they win.

We cannot allow that. They will not be detered by death. A long prison sentence will prevent them from achieving martyr status... and it will make them pay for being terrorist ****bags.

Eternity is a cell will make them suffer. A quick death will strengthen their cause.

They must be locked up for all eternity in a supermax facility. This will make them pay without furthering their cause.

With the rash of recent FBI arrests of individuals charged with trying to make bombs & intending to blow up buildings, if convected, what is a proper punishment for these crimes.
I favor the death penalty, if convicted.

Thoughts?

I disagree, for two reasons; one, the justice system is not infallible, it makes mistakes, and in the case of a miscarriage of justice, it's a hell of a lot easier to release a man from jail than it is to attempt a ressurrection.

And secondly, their barbouros behaviour is no excuse for such behaviour by the government. If killing our fellow human beings is such an awful crime, then why do we want our government in the business of doing it?
