I don't know ANYONE who's ever had their door busted down by "government-agents" and those that do are usually on TV. You know : drug dealers, crazy Christian sects, people running illegal slave shops out of hangers, Russian mob bosses in movies, crazy Cuban people kidnapping little kids. People throw the "government-agents busting down your door" card for even the most trivial of things. It's like the government has a squadron of "agents" just ready to bust down the door of some irrelevant shmuck in Northern Kansas.

I've never even had a "government-agent" leave me a notice much less kick down my door but I know people who'll swear that this happens a lot in America. This all made me wonder. How many people here have had these 'government-agents' bust down their doors? And did they(the agents) give a reason? Any reason at all? If it's never happen to you but you at least know somebody this has happened to, would you please be kind enough to post their story? Why the 'agents' busted down their door? Or at least why they claimed they were justified to do so?

So what is the point of this poll? :doh

All the time, like my buddy Ed Brown for tax resistance.

And government agents' time isn't very valuable - they can wait until you come out.

I've never even had a "government-agent" leave me a notice [...]

It's never happened to me before and I'm willing to bet that in 99.9999% of the cases where it did happen, there was a damn good reason.

Every government agent that contacted me always called my cell phone.

The man be messin with me
My girl be kissin with me
BUst through ma door
Put me on the floor
Strip and search my significant other
Why do I say **** why even bother

All the time,

Really? Can you show some of the legal documents you've been provided with by these 'government-agents'? And for what reasons have they 'bust down your door'? Pictures of your doors? Any information you can provide would be useful.

Are you still a pedophile?

Sometimes they just shoot your kid's dog and then shoot your kid and then shoot your wife while she's holding your infant and never even bother with the door.

I'll try my best to broadcast my arrest / killing live on the Internet when they finally do come for me, presumably for tax resistance.

In the meantime, you can familiarize yourself with the histories of the other 7.2 million people in this country who are currently in prison / jail, on probation, or on parole - the majority of whom are there due to "victimless crimes", and many others in a rational society would just be paying restitution to their victims instead.

Are you still a pedophile?

Why would you even accuse me of something like that? Does being pro-choice on abortion automatically mean you enjoy getting abortions on purpose? Does support for the right of gun-ownership automatically mean that you enjoy shooting people?

Bad analogy. In society, even the "massa", whoever that is (the government?), has to follow the rules it sets.

Mix in the fact that in a democracy, nearly everyone has some say in these rules.

So they haven't busted down your door? I thought you said it happened all the time?

Oh I guess it's only alright to make silly nonsequitur ad homs when it's a pedophile like yourself. :2wave:

The government finds it prudent to make its slaves believe that they are free, which is how it is able to convince us to run a sophisticated economy and thus profit more from us, but it can break its own rules any time it wants to.

Mix in the fact that in a democracy, nearly everyone has some say in these rules.

Democracy is the most tyrannical form of government that can remain stable in a modern post-industrialized society. It is characterized by subtle yet highly effective use of brainwashing to allow passive control of the subjects, who are "kept on a long leash" and are allowed to keep a faction of the wealth they create for their own use. They are led to believe that the government exists in their interest, and the lowest common denominator of their opinions is pandered to in some trivial matters (i.e. election of figureheads).

By effectively encouraging blind faith in the government system, democratic governments can get away much higher levels of infringement on individual rights than less manipulative forms of government. History is filled with examples of peasant uprisings against a tyrannical ruler, but in a democracy people's anger is manipulated and misdirected toward trivial rituals (i.e. voting). Since governments always have more influence on the public (i.e. public schooling) than the other way around, and because the system is rigged on other levels as well, there exists no real danger of those rituals ever challenging the entrenched ruling class of government bureaucrats and their allies.

Democracy is the greatest threat that currently exists to the hope of eventual freedom for mankind, freedom of course being based on uninfringeable individual rights that can only exist in a pure free-market capitalist society.

Just as I thought. Don't worry. It was a rhetorical demand.

I would share, but that would mean I would have to replace my door again.

I wasn't expecting you to actually back up your claim. Just make the claim and then find some way to justify not being able to substantiate it.

Does it count if the Government agents were braking the door down so we could get the stretcher in to our patient?

Seriously though, in the sense you mean, I've never seen it happen, nor know of it happening to anyone I've known, no matter how much I wish it had in a few cases.

Perhaps you're having trouble reading. Let me repeat the question that was asked:

"Have "government-agents" bust down your door?"

See that "Your". That means YOU, Alex Libman, the door on YOUR Home. Not "someone elses" door or "Someone you knows door" or "some random guy on wikipedia's door"...but YOURS.

In major cities, there are fairly routine services of "high hazard warrants." These generally involve some degree of door-kicking, and may even include full on storming of a location by a team of specialized officers wearing full tactical gear and using flash-bangs, and other detonating devices.

Such warrants require an extremely high burden of proof to get a judge to sign off on them. They are reserved for instances where the person(s) named in the warrant are likely to be (heavily) armed and resistant to arrest. i.e., service on drug gangs such as the Sinaloan Cowboys, other kinds of gangs like 18th Street, and organized crime syndicates.
