Not WITH Iraq.

IN Iraq.

big difference actually

the US dont want Russia to have all the oil

I believe oil was the prime motivator in taking such an interest in 'freeing' the people of Iraq.

I don't really know since the whole thing seems so incredibly asinine to me. I'm sure oil is in there somewhere as a reason though.

All you have to do is vote and explain why:)
We are not at war with Iraq.
We are in Iraq at war with people who are also in Iraq.

... the simple answer is 'oil' but all the options are reduced interpretations.

I believe there are mutliple factors, oil being one of them.

There are also the contracts to Cheney's friends, Bush's personal need to take out Saddam (I could spend forever explaining all of the reasons why, for now just settle on Revenge and Legacy), etc.

I see tha BDS whackos are out in force...

We are not at war with Iraq.
We are in Iraq at war with people who are also in Iraq.

We were at war with Iraq as we disposed of their government. Now we're just occupying.

There are far easier ways to get more oil than war and regime change

Come on how can you say that we are not at war. Dude people dieing out there.

The word "war" has a certain meaning. What we are doing in Iraq does not meet that meaning.

We're also not fighting Iraq.

I find it impossibly difficult to believe that we would be in Iraq if its main exports were soybeans instead of oil.

Part of it is maintaining a strategic foothold in an oil-rich region, no doubt.

There are also easier ways of doing this that bombing the crap out of and occupying a nation.

We created the oppurtunity to draw 40 thousand jihadists into the open so we could kill them and we're in a very strategically advantagous position in the ME.
