Running as a third party candidate is a great way to guarantee your going to lose. If your smart you get the political machines to pay for your campaign. The last guy to try to be elected president who wasn't a republican or democrat was Millard Fillmore, running as a whig in the 1850's.
Your "Libertarianophobia" has been duly noted, as well.....Your devotion to Ron Paul has been noticed.
That's not true, IO, there are always third party candidates.
Teddy Roosevelt and Ross Perot are the most successful ones after Fillmore that come to mind.
Nader played a big role too, even though he was not as successful as Perot or Roosevelt.
Thank you for proving my point. They couldn't get elected, mainly because they "split the ticket" of the party that shared most of their views.
Your "Libertarianophobia" has been duly noted, as well.
C'mon now, no need to stereotype and generalize. You'd actually have to be scared of something to call it a phobia. I just like to mock the ideology that embodies the most radical aspects of liberalism and conservatism and then tries to call everyone else stupid or 'blind' like most cults usually do.
C'mon now, no need to stereotype and generalize.
So are you done with your emotional diatribe yet, or should I get some more popcorn? When you have people looking up to a radical like Ron Paul, calling themselves a movement, screaming about some political moral high ground and it's not hard to run into those people within that 'movement'. Then I think it's safe to say you're a cult. Liberals are Catholics. Conservatives are Baptists. And Libertarians are the Phelps family.
Look at Washington, Grant, and Eisenhower
So are you done with your emotional diatribe yet, or should I get some more popcorn?
A Liberal puts a List out, for the Repubs to "choose" from?
Just a touch presumptuous Redress.
Why wasn't Ron Paul on the list?
I almost do hope the Republican party chooses Sarah Palin, for three reasons:
1. I get to look at her on TV.
2. I get to watch the media and the liberals explode with apoplexy that she dared show her face again.
3. Somebody who isn't a professional politician with Ivy League cred and close ties to the party establishment gets to have some airtime.
I have no idea whether she could beat Obama or not.... I think a lot of that will depend on Obama the next three years... but it would be very entertaining.
Okay, then are you done with your silly diatribe? You'd actually have to show some emotion. I don't even break a sweat with Libertarians.
You waste your time using logic on a partisan troll. Save your breath for people worthy of debate and discussion.I also mentioned that there was only 10 spots, to assume there wsa an other option, and all that. It's not like I tried to stack the deck, it's an honest question. I actually used two mainstream articles to pick those on the list.
