Regardless of whether or not you support Obama, do you think Robert Gibbs is a good press secretary?

I vote no. From what I watch, he seems to get pretty ticked off at the press for merely asking questions.

I haven't seen a lot of news clips on how Gibbs is handling the press, but he seems to be doing a good job from what I have managed to see.

He tends to be pretty boring, but he is effective at getting the presidents message out, which is his job.

Doesn't seem markedly better or worse than any others in recent history.

Who cares if he's good or not?

I find him somewhat annoying, though I suppose I don't have an opinion one way or the other. I hated Tony Snow and Dana Perino, though, so I guess he's an improvement.

Where's the, "he sucks", option?

Yes...Due to his "Handling" of the Press. The Presidents Polling has become the "Talk" of Liberal Reporters. That've FINALLY become P.O.'d, Disillusioned, Disheartened, and Disgusted with B.O.

1 1/2 years too late, albeit. Plus the fact they're going to try and "cover" their butts with all the Polls spiraling "Down".

No matter how hard they tried to "Change" it.

From the point of view of someone who wants the Obama Administration to be revealed as the incompetents they are? He's spectacular!

By the way, I think that somebody needs to call Disney and tell them one of their animatronic figures has escaped.

That is actually not a bad way to describe him. Wooden would be another. A 10 second clip of him on TV can put me to sleep.

An Autobot has a better Personality. But YES. I vote to keep him in place.

With B.O talking about "Wee Weed",,,without a Teleprompter guiding him,,, I get the same impression Redress.

Take care.

The press secretary for any administration is a crappy job to have. I guess he is doing about as well as most of his predecessors over the last several years.

Something tells me that if the Prophet Isaiah was Obama's press secretary you would have said the same thing. ;)

I "guess" he's the best B.O. could come up with as his 1st "Choice". Let him stay. That says a lot for both of them.

Would you want to walk into the job of press secretary during the worst recession since the 30s?

What qualifies as doing a good job vs doing a bad job?

I voted no because of the failures of the Obama administration to win the public trust back. In fact it is slipping even more.

If the press secretary had come out with the details (publicly) of the OHCB before the mis information campaign started, I think it would be turning out very different.

That would be the "no" option. :2razz:

Good: Effective speaker, answers questions directly and doesn't dodge them, patient and polite with reporters.
Bad: Rambler, poor speaker, doesn't answer questions directly, dodges questions, and uses an arrogant or tone of voice.

I don't see how he could, as it stands there doesn't even exist an OHCB, there are just proposals at this point.
