Do you think the Obama administration is the greatest ever?

I personally feel that Obama, Pelosi and Harry Reid are the greatest examples of leadership our country and maybe the world has seen and would really appreciate it if we could just all adhere to their superior intellect especially Obama as he is a Harvard graduate after all and knows what he is talking about when it comes to health care. You may not see it yet, but he has our best interests at heart and is just misunderstood...Thank you

Similar to anyone who says that the Obama administration is a failure, after 6 months, this question is premature. No way to tell. Usually, in order to assess a Presidency, about 10 years needs to pass so that administrations impact can be properly studied and evaluated. Same with those who are claiming that Bush II was the worst ever. Not enough time to assess. Anyone who makes the claim that either one of these Presidencies is a failure, or is the greatest ever is basing their opinion on emotion, completely devoid of facts.

So, would it be more accurate to say that 'based on his actions and his promises and which ones are being broken versus kept, Obama AIMS to be the worst president ever if you enjoy freedom, or the best president ever if you believe in collectivism.'?

To date when considering the policies that he has championed so far I think that he is a worse President than Bush.

As far as the others go...they are all scumbags.

So far I would actually put him in the top 30% of Presidents so far, but it is too early to tell.

No idea.

No poll either.

My opinion, based on my political leanings and how I view his actions so far, is negative...

So, IMO, the highest I would rate him is below average.

I'm reserving judgment until after the health care battle sorts itself out.

Even if this administration was good, how could you even ask if its the best ever? The Roosevelt administration was the greatest ever, not this one.

They are surely among the best liars and snake oil salesman ever to get as far as they have.

Excellent example of what I said in the last sentence of my post.

Harry Reid just called people who disagreed with him "evil mongers."

Are vocal critics "un-American" the way Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco) and Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said last week?

Is "the time for talking is over" as Obama said?

Please, if you want a hero - go look in a play or in a church. Otherwise, stop being a fool and start using that God (Darwin, whatever) given gift of critical thinking.

Two centuries of American govenment and you decide that the current one that is in your face is the best ever?

There isn't a best ever, because the administrations are largely shaped by events. Maybe the Americans of the Great Depression believed that their current administration was the best ever. Maybe the Americans of WWII thought their administration was the best ever. Perhaps the Americans that saw the Berlin Wall come down rejoiced over what they believd was the best ever. What exactly has Obama done so far to rate the "best ever?"

And Pelosi? Seriously? The Wicked Witch of the East to Cliton's Wicked Witch of the West? And is she even considered as a part of his administration?

Don't get starry eyed over what is happening directly in front of you with an entire history of events and administrations that have done far greater things than this one in the past. It's like declaring the movie you just saw as the best in history.

does no one else get the feeling that the OP is being facetious...

I thought so at first...

Especially when they mentioned Pelosi. I can't imagine too many being an actual fan of Nancy Pelosi.

I see great potential in Obama but it is way to early to call. As for Pelosi & Reid...........They could have stopped the war in Iraq (after 2006) & impeached Bush & Cheney ...but did neither...Therefore....They should both be run out of Washington for cowardice in the face of the enemy.

BTW.....I think the OP was kidding too...but my answer was serious.

Where do I begin? It's too large a job, therefore I will simply say "NO!"

BTW, where's the poll?

You'll find that more often, people who are pre-determined "anti Obama-ists" will not agree with the fact that waiting 10 years is enough time. Amazingly, these people somehow gather some kind of mystical knowledge about the idea that Obama will be bad.

Now, I have a strong feeling that he will be one of the greats, that doesn't mean that I know he will be, but I hope and desire. Those who are extremely against Obama will usually declare within the first few seconds of his presidency that he is the worst or he will be the worst, when the truth is that no can correctly predict the future.

Hypocracy cries out here!!! The libs couldn't wait to right the history of Bush while he was still in office. They are still at it, with undetered vigor.

Which one? Teddy was alright, but FDR is one of the most treasonous Presidents in our history.

very funny, chum.

In what manner was FDR treasonous?

Franklin Roosevelt's progressive lean had positive influence on the United States. In that manner, he was a great president in my opinion. He lifted us from the great depression with the government programs. Not to say that WWII had nothing to do with our economic prowess. In any manner, he did a good job!

Yeah, that's what they want you to believe.

He did the most to kill the Constitution. He blackmailed the SCOTUS to pass his programs, he put us under a State of Emergency in 1933 which gave power to over 100 new government laws and agencies which has never officially been canceled. Towards which, Congressmen Beck said:

I think of all the damnable heresies that have ever been suggested in connection with the Constitution, the doctrine of emergency is the worst. It means that when Congress declares an emergency, there is no Constitution. This means its death. It is the very doctrine that the German Chancellor is invoking today in the dying hours of the parliamentary body of the German republic, namely that because of an emergency, it should grant to the German chancellor absolute power to pass any law, even though the law contradicts the Constitution of the German Republic.

Chancellor Hitler is at least frank about it. We pay the Constitution lip service, but the result is the same....the Constitution of the United States, as a restraining influence in keeping the federal government within the carefully prescribed channels of power, is moribound, if not dead. We are witnessing its death-agonies, for when this bill becomes a law, if unhappily it becomes a law, there is no longer any workable Constitution to keep the Congress within the limits of its Constitutional powers.

This started in FDR's regime with the State of Emergency he put us under using an Executive Order and of which has never been revoked. He was one of the most prolific and liberal users of the Executive Order to legislate from the Executive branch. He ignored Hoover as he pleaded with FDR to talk to the Congress to help get things passed before banks failed (it was in the very last part of Hoover's term when the banks were fast failing and he was dealing with a hostile Democratic Congress. FDR could have preempted some of the failings by trying to get Congress involved before hand). He played to socialism in the worst way ever experienced by America at the time.

The Roosevelt Myth is a great book for everyone to read. It shows FDR in clear light for his policies and dealing with the government and military without the rose colored glasses everyone seems to use while thinking of his administration. One of the most treasonous Presidents ever.
