I don't want anyone to lead the world. I don't want the world to be led at all.

I want each of the many tribes of humanity to seek its own destiny, and for them each to seek their own benefit without any greater order to play favorites among them.

As a patriotic American I oppose globalism. I do not want my county being bumped down to a state and I do not wan the president of my country president being bumped down to a state representative. Nor do I want my nation subject to any global laws and regulations,it is not France,Germany or any other country's business what my country does.

I don't think it will work due to the different world views people hold. I for instance would want someone who was not trying to knock everyone down to the same level via redistribution of wealth.

I just don't see any way to make the system fair and still allow for individual rights or freedom.
 
I, for one, have little interest in soccer, socialism, Bollywood, OR Hasselhoff, so that puts me at odds with most of the rest of the world.

The UN security council can't find it's ass with both hands, and the UN human rights commission is a toothless communist/islamist ass kiss go-round.

I don't want a single person or group to lead the world. I prefer separate nations.

Still worried about overpopulation? Most of the places that are starving, have far less dense populations than the US or Europe, places that seem to have too much food. Food shortage? We have more food that ever before. And as for climate change, even if the alarmists claims are 100% correct, it's far easier for countries to adapt to disasters and food shortages as they alwasy have

BTW, how do you expect a wolrd governmemnt to be accountable, representative, and responsive?

Nobody should lead the world. Countries are good kept separated.

A world leader implies a world government, which would seem to suggest that the individual countries would not be sovereign against the world government. I'd rather not see a world government at all. The larger government gets, the harder it becomes to control. There could be nothing more dangerous than a single world government.
 
I would never want members of the UN leading the world...
 
If aliens invade we can all band together. Otherwise, there is no way a world government is in order. If there is something that I don't know about... I volunteer myself!

Well i would only accept myself.In terms of the world even through democractic voting maybe a couple of billion people wopuld get a very tough time through that kind of system.

sure.

problem is there is nothing to discuss here. he has the "we need government to save us from ourselves" mindset and it would take hundreds of hours to change it at best.

we have a hundred million or so lost people and i don't have hundreds of hours on each one.

at the same time not saying anything would have been wrong.

so i decided to point the fact that:

there are some things that we cannot say such as "lets kill all people of such and such color"

why not add "begging for a world government" to a list of those things that cannot be said ?

the idea behind disallowing hate charged racist speech is that people are not smart enough to think with their heads and should be sheltered from dangerous ideas.

well no idea is more dangerous than world government and in no case are the minds of lemmings more susceptible.

i am seriously saying that any suggestion of world government should be made against the forum rules.

i think those of us who have a clue about the nature of governments have a responsibility to use all nonviolent means to prevent this scenario from playing out.
