Do you believe that opposition to Obama is mostly based on his race

Is opposition to Obama mostly due to his race?

I suggest that I could probably find more evidence (verbal admissions & documents) to back up my opinion (about Obama opposition) than you could provide about the existence of god.

What? A few outspoke internet racists proves your belief?

I don't think so, scooter.

Hey Devil....

Riddle me this....

What was the opposition to Bill Clinton (pre-sex scandal) based upon?

Was it his race?
:rofl

So I guess I am a racist against blacks, you found me out.

And then you wonder why I think people like you and Utah are stupid? Go figure?

I know I am going to get in trouble for this.

In my defense it is the truth at least.
<sarcasm>
YOU MOTHA ****IN' UNCLE TOM YOU!!!

Any proof to this?
No proof is required for a BELIEF. (look it up)
but I have posted links & do a google search yourself

Scum like that

they are no better than the dirtbag human beings

The rest of your post just dissolves into the pathetic personal attacks that are all you guys have to debate with.
Gonna call me "A Dirty Smell?!?" :baby1

Nah......Just stupidity...... which the far right has an overabundance of so it's hard to contain.;)

BTW....Stupidity & Racism go together very well.

Devil, you crack me up! I'm getting a huge laugh out of folks like you and UtahBill telling conservatives what we think and what we believe. You're both of the same ilk that rail on the tea parties, and I bet neither of you attended one to have first hand knowledge of what took place.

I'm going to spell this out for you (and everyone else) to see.

Most conservatives don't hate black people. I know, I know - this may come as a shock to you, but it's actually true.

Most conservatives (remember, they don't hate black people) are opposed to Obama based on his policies. If a green man, a red man, a yellow man or hell even a white man, had the same policies as Obama, conservatives would be just as opposed to that person. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RACE. You can spin this crap all day long, but it only makes you look foolish to the point of being laughable. You've almost entered into the same reality challenged area that the birthers and the truthers live in. Seriously, you haven't a clue when you stick to the beliefs that you have when there is no evidence whatsoever to support them.
Glad to be of service, you need a laugh more than most.
I would not say, and hope I didn't, that the majority of conservatives are racists. I do believe that a large percentage are. Many people I know and have worked with, lived next door to, etc. over the years are so far to the right that they think ALL liberal ideas are evil, and usually the same people are the ones sending out the emails depicting blacks as lazy, prone to criminal acts, first to loot stores during a disaster, last to get up off their butts and try to help themselves, etc. These same conservatives are often so stupid about what they are against that they get it all wrong in their complaining.

THEY, the conservative whiners. are too lazy and stupid to check out things in Snopes, but when they do, and they don't like what they read, they tell us that Snopes is run by a left wing liberal extremist couple in San Francisco and have a bias, and LIE to the public.
They don't like the message, so they lie about the messenger.

Both sides do it, but it really irks me when supposedly educated, christian folk act so stupid and un-christian...and from my standpoint, it is the far right doing most of it.

I don't know if your theory of causation is true, but it is true that I feel duped...well, let's say, as duped as I can be by a politician. They're all liars and nothing is as it seems...from that starting point, yes, I feel duped.

I suggest you hang in there & wait for President Obama's FINAL decision on many things, such as HC reform. I think his advisors are just weighing some options right now (public option) but that, in the end , Obama will not reneg on his campaign pledges.
If he does, I'l be disappointed to....& will say so.

BTW.....Let's not forget the real villain in this vignette is the GOP who desire NO HC reform, but are really just trying to derail ANY such reform. (They claim they back reform (although where were they for the last 8 years when they could have done it?) but they are just paying "Lip Service" to HC reform because they know that we Americans want/need it badly)
They'll claim it's just THIS HC reform that is no good....... but of course ANY proposal will be "This" one!;)
They (GOP) continue to insult our intelligence by thinking we can't see their retarded strategy.

I don't have any choice but to hang in and wait, lol. ;)

But I won't expect any miracles. Long before this election I realized that my own ideals as an inhabitant on this planet are diametrically opposed to the needs of American interests - ideals that are patronized by politicians only with lofty talk. They love that ****. The mechanics of it all are much dirtier, compulsively predictable and, importantly, non-partisan. When healthcare reform has been tweaked as such so that hospitals and pharmaceutical companies can still reap more lucrative benefits from the healthcare system than its patients, then there will be healthcare reform. Call me cynical, but this is the way the world works.

So. Anyone who disagrees with a liberal is stupid or racist.

Noted.

Obama is soooo grrrrrreat, that only a racist could disagree with him.

This must be why is he is called "The Messiah".

Noted.

Everything leads to a health care debate. I read this thread with interest waiting for the real bigots to ask for proof of a negative based on a BELIEF qualified by MOSTLY. In my humble opinion it's usually the racist who is constantly bringing up race. In this case it is the democrats and Obama himself as a misdirection from the real contention that the administration is trying to bring european socialism to the U.S. apparently against the wishes of the people.

No, your posts make that abundantly obvious. :doh

But a reasonable, responsible, thinking person would try to make sure his beliefs have substance behind them.

You, of course, keep braying at the top of your lungs about how you don't need that for yours.

There's a reasonable conclusion to be drawn from that.

Who had any serious doubt, though, that when opposition started mounting, the race card would come out with rabid force? I certainly didn't.

and we all know how unhappy the europeans are...almost every day we hear about many of them protesting in the streets, clamoring for U.S. style government...

Claiming that Obama is trying to force socialism on us is typical extreme right wing fear mongering...

We do need health care reform, and hopefully it will a reasonable package that comes out of congress. I don't plan on being afraid of the big bad socialists until they outnumber the libertarians...

Actually the europeans are complaining about double digit inflation, horrendous tax burdens and government controlled healthcare. They've had huge riots in France and elsewhere. Some of them think it is absurd that we are trying to put in a system that has been discredited when much of europe is trying to dismantle its failed socialism like Hungary and Poland and Georgia and Britain and others. And don't forget that Britain has NICE. That that great little commission to decide who lives and dies by withholding medical treatment and drugs. They are complaining about delays seeing their doctors and not being able to pick their doctor and not being able to see a specialist for years.

This congress has no respect for the American people, in fact has exhibited disdain for the American people. They have lied to the people and no longer have any credibility. Same goes for the Obama administration. I will not support, accept or trust any bill coming out of this congress until after the 2010 midterms when I may reconsider.

Because we all know that the characteristics of the population of Logan are completely transferrable to the conservative base nationwide.

I lived in Utah for 10 years. I didn't notice conservatives in Utah being any more racist than liberals in, say, Philly.

I've spent a lot of time in the Provo/Salina area over the last few years and, if the conservatives there (and there are a lot of them) are racists, they certainly hide it well.

MeThinks some people need to be more discriminating with whom they associate... or would discriminating against racists be wrong. ;)

Well, I do know a guy who based most of his views on what Americans think by a couple of guys who hung around a liquor store near where he lived.

IMO, those few people who believe bigotry is the most prevalent cause of opposition to Pres. Obama are, in fact, part of the reason for continued bigotry in the US.

Very true. If you simply assume bigotry on the part of someone, or on the part of a group as a whole, it will continue to be an issue no matter if you're right or not . . . because you MAKE it an issue.

That, of course, is a form of bigotry in and of itself.

Now THAT makes allot of sense????:thumbdown

Uhh...

Yes?

It's my opinion, of course it makes sense to me.

Doesn't matter to me if anyone else thinks it makes sense, as it's not their opinion.

They may either agree or disagree, in part or in whole.

Of course you have a right to your opinion but would you mind explaining what led you to that opinion?

To me that would like having an opinion that if you like vanilla ice cream....you are probably not a good bowler??????

So.....If you ignore real bigotry ....I guess it will just go away by itself??

Learn to read.

I'm done trying to discuss anything with you. You don't want to debate issues....You just want to start fights & make personal attacks! Why don't you just goto a school yard, wait for recess & then pick a fight with anyone at random.

You add nothing to the discussions here.:2wave:
