If Meth Was Legalized...

If Meth Were Legal, Would You Use It?

Actually, I work and live in the state capitol of Florida, and you'd be amazed how many conservatives are secret cokeheads. Or maybe you wouldn't.

I wouldn't. Cocaine is the drug of choice for the upper class.

I wouldn't do most drugs if they were legal. And I live in meth central, so if I wanted to do meth now I could. Legal or illegal mean nothing at all to me. I frankly just don't care what the law is.

Meth and meth addiction is devastating Indian Country. It's doing in a few months what takes booze decades to do.

I was a meth addict a very long time ago. I know how difficult it is to kick and what hell you go through to get off of it. It's so highly addictive and destructive, not only physically, but the devastation to families is truly horrendous.

Meth is one drug that will be legalized over my dead body.

I understand your point, but that's hardly a solid argument for it to remain illegal. We have legal substances which destroy families and are highly addictive.

Wait, wait, wait! So, you're saying people will make negative life decisions regardless of what the government says!? Interesting!

...would you use it?

(This question assumes you do not currently use meth)

You might've got more accurate results with a private poll, lol... not that my answer would change. My caffeine addiction is bad enough.

No. I've seen the effects of a meth user. I would rather drink drain-o.

That would be irrational. Meth is very bad for you, but drain-o will kill you much more quickly and surely. I have known people who used meth casually for about a year. I lost touch with them, but they seemed fine for the few years I knew them after their use.

No. I wouldn't. Meth was once legally prescribed for soldiers in war. It was created in Germany and was used in inhalers in the thirties.

It wasn't created with a lot of consciousness. In and of itself it's not an evil substance but it is associated with evil doing. Meth addicts are insane.

Yes, it was an important component of Blitzkrieg.

Hell no, I occasionally work with meth heads, ****ed up people I tell yea.

Have you seen the **** they steal?

Work with as in they're your patients or coworkers? Probably should keep in mind that if they're not having a problem with their use, then you wouldn't notice it.

Meth will NEVER be legalized.

Yeah well we've seen the result of Darth Vader relying upon his predictions.

Maybe they should just put the Cocaine back in Coca-Cola, would you drink it?

Not unless it was diet and tasted nothing like diet coke. I prefer my zero carb blue Rockstar addiction.

You just do what the **** you want, regards of anything.

In a word: Yep. If I wanted to do meth the fact some old white dudes say I cannot would make 0% difference. Who cares?

Yeah really it's not a matter of what the laws says that determines what is moral or immoral but whether or not it hurts anybody against their consent. Arguably the laws against drug use have only added to the social problems associated with them.

Yep. The law and morality are only loosely linked. The law is really nothing more than the thoughts of (mostly) old white dudes, put to paper. And I frankly don't care what they think. The war on drugs had a predicatable outcome.

" If Meth Was Legalized... "

...I'd get nothing done.

That about sums up Libertarianism.

No.... If his doing so did not infringe on the rights of another person, then that would be libertarianism:2razz:

That's why I'm a libertarian! Freedom rocks. I never cared for the whole Conservative credo of "you are free to do whatever you wish so long as we approve".

Then you're in the wrong country.

True, but those substances have other uses and are highly controlled. Meth has absolutely no use and it's addictive power is exponentially higher then anything else out there.

Wait, wait, wait! So, you're saying people will make negative life decisions regardless of what the government says!? Interesting!

Yes, addicts are medically ill enough to use whatever they can get hold of to feed the addiction. Unfortunately, meth is one of the most highly addictive substances there is, AND the treatment is very ineffective. There are very few drugs they can use to mitigate the horrible withdrawal symptoms. Unlike other addictions. So, getting a meth addict to a place where the psychological treatment can take place, means putting them through some pretty horrible physical withdrawal.

Then you're in the wrong country.
So are you, the ignorant fool clinging to the status quo like a frightened child. You used to amuse me, but lately I've found you to be rather pathetic.
