There you go, Missy, expecting politicians to be all rational and non-hypocritical. You're such a hopeless idealist.

Why is it, that more threads are started on a former VP canidate than on a president?
Choose your answer and discuss!
I have a feeling her plan is to stay in the public eye for as long as possible. This will possibly give her a shot in 2012.
Obama realistically gets more threads but Palin gets far to many for being a has been.

You can't be serious.
That's exactly why we gotta give her as much of the spotlight as possible. She will divide the GOP like no one else.
I am. I think that is exactly what she is doing.
She's poison to the GOP. They want none of her.
She's been reduced to offering to stump for Democrats now (although I can't imagine she'll have many takers).
If those were that basic generic facts reguarding the realities of the situation then yes the president should be more news worthy than a ex-governor quitter, but there are certain aspects of the situation that changes the dynamics of the story. Don't you agree?
For instance. Mavrick turns quitter.
Give it as couple of weeks she be a nothing. As she should be.
When Palin first became VP nominee, the conservatives on this site went into "Palin is the savior and a goddess" mode. I called them out on starting the most idiotic, fawning threads about her. However, she is no longer VP candidate. It is now the liberals who keep her in the news, both here and in the mainstream media. These are the same liberals that claim to want her out of the limelight...yet keep bringing her up. This fact fostered my retraction of my original position several weeks ago.
And no, I do not agree that specifics of her situation warrant as many threads as there are. How come there are not these many threads on Mark Sanford? His behavior as a governor was far worse than anything that Palin has done.
No, I stand by my position. The amount of Palin threads, in proportion to her importance, and the newsworthiness of her behavior is certainly out of wack in comparison to those of Obama. I have made no secret of my belief of the total inappropriateness of Palin as the VP pick. However, it is the liberals, now, who are keeping her name in the limelight, not the conservatives. DP is a great example of that.
Dispite different peoples views about who is doing what to whom. Just a few short months ago she was McCains VP choice and was out firing up the base with wild rehetoric and Mavricky talk. She made comments about the president that I feel she will never live down politically. If she thinks that America might have been apprehensive voting for someone who was supposedly Palling around with Domestic terrorist then I wonder how she thinks america is going to accept palling around with a quitter?
Now If Obama would have lost the election and was Gov of a state and campaign as being a Mavrick kind of guy, not being able to give coherant press conferences or interveiws and then flamed out and quit his job just months later. Do you think the right would start just a few threads on the subject? Especially when the story changes from day to day?
I don't think so..
The Republican party is in shambles and their is no clear leader. Her diehard supporters have been defending her hell or highwater and some(a very few) are still saying she's going to be a viable 2012 candidate..I think they are delerious.
She has been asking for attention now she is getting the attention she and the Republican deserve o so much.
Her flame will be out very soon and she will be a nothing...better for her better for us...IMHO.
Have you actually done a count on this on the over all?
Obama won and his supporters have nothing to defend. Palin on the other hand lost for several reasons. Her most diehard supporters most from the origional group that were revived during a dead in the water campaign do so for the most part IMHO so they don't have to admit they were and have been so wrong about her all along. Kinda like diehard Bush supporters. But Bush actually won something.
It really makes no sense to agrue the point that Poop doesn't stink when we all know it does.
Fierce support is not alway intelligent logical support.
You can't be serious.
Not at all.

Kind of ironic that Triad and Rev. started the two most recent threads......
:2razz:
When you're the Rev, you can just pull **** out of your ass and it smells like...barbecue or flowers or something.
TO HELL WITH THE FACTS!!!
Hey when it's the Good Reverend, his facts are *ALWAYS* accurate, even when they are not.
It must be terrifying to wield that sort of awesome goodness.
To others it indeed does. Its a gift, and a curse.
With great power, great responsibility, blah, blah, blah. That must suck. I hope you get plenty of hot sex.
Well, I *AM* the Good Reverend, so your query is quite rhetorical.....
